either System F - Out of the Blue or Nu NRG - Dreamland
I think Dreamland takes the place
C Sharp was also a quite hot candidate

to say the best trance track ever would have to mean the track would have to be 100% pure trance and for that i would have to say
rank 1 - airwave (dutchforce vs rank 1 remix)
that is trance at its best

It was a joke bro? I'm jealous you got to actually experience that tune in a club, while it was the "thing" to listen to.

Living in Hawaii, I will never experience that.

Paul von Dyk - Dreamland

well i decided to check out the quest c sharp after seeing the rave about it in this thread and all i got to say is ARE YOU KIDDING?? this song would not even make my top 100. it sounds like any mainstream trance song with a gang of synths behind it (ugh how i dread that sound) there is nothing remotely unique or original about this song...somebody please tell me i am not the only one that thinks this way about this song.

this is an absolute classic. you probably are the only one that feels this way....

alright i gave c sharp- the quest another chance and i admit its a little better this time around then the last time i heard it. i dunno i'm still getting a slight cheese factor when i hear it. its one of those at the moment songs not something i'd be playing 3 years from now. i'd consider it good however...and a big however...its still not THE GREATEST trance song. i mean come on have you not listened to sasha's gu cds or tiesto's in search of sunrise series? you can find so many songs in those compilations that elicit much stronger emotions and have much more longevity.

eh well the track was made in '99, and what was really huge in '99?

Of course there's hundreds of other tracks that have more depth, and many more layers, but also think of the memories/backround that came with the track people are choosing.
