I find it sad how some of you can do nothing better than complain about these promoters

The lineup is expensive.. RIGHT... ITS A RAVE of course it is going to be expensive, get the early birds or do not go at all

Dumonde and BK should rock it.. same old thing? Okay then do not go its simple, i'm sure tons of more people would complain if it was another style as well so no matter who it is you can not win. As for the locals as if any of you who were in there spot would not book your own friends as well your down right lying.

dartrance...I'd book my friends if I knew they were good and their style suited the party I was organizing. My beef is that there seems to be little consideration for GOOD MUSIC. DJs like Azim and Tazix booking themselves at every event and playing hours of crap gives trance a bad name in this city (have you ever HEARD them spin?). It has a really negative effect on the scene here.

I'm not really complaining about the promoters; they've done some excellent work in the past, no question about it. I understand that this one party was thrown together under pressure, okay fine. But at EVERY SINGLE EVENT, even the ones put together well in advance, the lineup is almost identical! You'd think that with more time to spare, they would go through the effort of perhaps digging up some of the amazing undiscovered talent Vancouver offers and giving them a chance to show their stuff instead of constantly bringing in the same crappy DJs over and over and over again.

Check out the parties at Aria for this kind of cash you get to see Tiesto, Armin, and Ornadel spin on the same night... Plus, for the added bonus you don't get to see candy ravers OD and get carried away to a hospital.

Dumonde is ok. I've seen them live before. I've never heard any of BKs stuff so I wouldn't know.

I don't have a problem seeing threads like this one, but what pisses me off is that some Twisted loser bumps it just so that it gets more exposure. In any case this is obviously a rip off and too see threads like this being bumped for the sake of advertising a party makes me want to break someone's face!

I think it's about time that this thread got closed.

You would pay at least a 10er in the UK to see BK alone let alone with dumonde that is another 10er right there that is about 50 canadian right there. Entrance at Turnmill was about 15 quid when i was there. Same as most clubs in london.

The fact that they have to fly them over and still make a profit. 40 canadian is not bad for BK he is brilliant also way out west is a very differnt sound then BK and dumonde. Its like comparing a vacation relaxing and chilling to a vacation where you play extreme sports. Both are good but not comparable

I am not in the know about vancover Djs and cannot comment on the locals but... at least you guys can see BK.

IN toronto there is only prog and the odd trance dj.

For those who care on TA Just came back from a huge board meeting with Solid Corp, Twisted, Masterplan and Plaza of Nations this morning. The setup is going be intense with visual screens all over the top of the ceiling and lasers shooting everywhere. The lights/sound production is going be x3 the amount of the recent plaza shows (twisted and insomnia).

We're gonna do up the stages with a jungle theme and the setup starts like 3 days prior to the event. (when usually setup takes only 2days max) We're going all out babyee!

by the way, we know the lineup isn't STELLAR but we will make it up with the production (sound/lights), we promise.

The show is close to selling out, we advise you to pick up your tickets in advance if you haven't. And come early if you do decide to come to this event. Its gonna be crazily packed with over 4000+ ppl.

I suppose it's a good thing that you're getting all this support But I think I speak for a lot of people here when I say that I don't blow money on tickets so I can go and admire the production level and visuals. It's all about the music!
