I only saw the last half of the third and OT. That goal was awesome. And Gelinas work damn hard.

As far as age is concerned 30 - 35 means nothing in this day and age , you calgary fans are worse than politicians , playing with figures to make your team luck like they have a chance, knowbody said it was gonna be a sweep , so i said in 5 or 6 so according to my math that gives calgary a game or 2 DETROIT RED WINGS 2004 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS , get used to the sound of that

Don't matter who "outplayed" who, only who outscored who ;-)

And Flames seem to have a knack for outscoring even when outplayed lately.

I don't expect that to end anytime soon.

of course, of all days there is to be an afternoon game, I have to be FLYING to toronto today.
I dont leave till 3:15, but that means I need to leave my house around 1:30, which means I MISS THE GAME!
I hope the airport is playing the game, otherwise, I ownt be happy.
Either way, ill still miss the 3rd

i played hockey for 10 years on ice, refereed for 7, rollerhockey in a league for 2, and countless hours spent playing street hockey

cooke and morrison are going to help represent canada at the world cup. at least we can all agree, GO CANADA there!!!

Posted by TrancEuphoria on Apr-24-2004 23:08:

ouch tough loss for Calgary, oh well the Dome will be insane for game 3.

Posted by j_spot on Apr-25-2004 02:19:

ok, so I hear calgary got schooled, but I missed the whole game minus the 1st period

how bad was it?

Posted by DannyO on Apr-25-2004 02:38:

I dunno when they scored but I think it was like this:

1st period, finished 0-0.

2nd period, Wings scored, then again, then umm again, then Flames scored, ended the period 3-1 to the Wings.

3rd period, Wings scored twice, then Flames scored again, and Wings won 5-2.

I think thats right, I dunno, I was working at the time, only saw little bits, but yea, it was pretty brutal, oh well bring on game 3, I'll be drinking for the Flames.

sorry can't say who scored, but I can tell you it wasn't Kipper.

Posted by FattyFats on Apr-26-2004 05:30:

We need Simon and Gauthier back in the lineup. The Flames got pushed around in Game 2. With 5 of our best players injured it's an uphill battle.

Best moment in Game 2 was when Saprikyn demolished Chelios. Man I hate that guy.

Posted by 35 and hooked on Apr-26-2004 05:33:

calgary fans are pretty quiet

i guess sat game has made all the calgary fans very quiet , well that was a great series against the canucks , thats pretty good consolation , with those old over the hill wings lol they have met there match, gotta tell you , the flames dont know when to quit lots of grit on that team built like an oiler team of the last few years

Posted by j_spot on Apr-26-2004 05:42:

I would be chirpy, but I was ona flight, and didnt see the game.
expect more from me after tomorow, win or lose

Posted by Dmatrox on Apr-26-2004 05:55:

yea that is. at least calgary is lucky to be tied 1-1, not like TO and MTl with 0-2

and an extra day gives the boys an extra day of rest/practice

bettman's a f*g.
they should have montreal vs tampa or toronto vs philly one day and calgary vs detroit other day with the other of these two the other day. forget the west vs east, if you're going to screw with schedules, make it so we cna love a canadian team a day.

and stop making teams play back to back or have 5 days inbetween games in a series crap.

go flames.

Could be worse.... It could be like the NBA that has like 2 or 3 days off between EACH game. It's sad that the NBA Playoffs won't be done until June because of the rest they give evveryone.

Posted by DjCommisad on Apr-26-2004 17:44:

yeah.. its getting warm and sunny out, we want to have BBQs and parties and go camping and get drunk, not have to sit indoors watching our teams battle, and stress ourselves out trying to figure out what day they're playing!

Jeez, another afternoon game? One was bad enough but 2 of them?

Anyways, does anyone else post at the Flames official forums @ Calgaryflames.com? I do, same username as the one I use here.

Can't wait for tomorrow night, though I wish I would be at the 'Dome and not infront of the TV, ahwell.

Posted by DjCommisad on Apr-26-2004 18:15:

i say we punch gary bettman out. lets all watch hockey night at noon!!! what a joke, putting a canadian team game on a saturday at noon. lets just call it, "screw you CBC and canadians -signed NHL" night. At noon (pst) im either still sleeping or im outside since the weathers nicer.

Posted by TranceForever on Apr-26-2004 22:19:

I agree with Bettmen, but he is amazing compared to mlbs bud selig!
that guy is freaking horrible!!!!!
But Calgary is gonna be crazy tomorrow at the dome!
If we can get it to 6 or 7 games and get some of our injured guys back, then the old wings will be tired and we can take advantage.

GO FLAMES GO!!!!!
