i even went to the guy at the counter 'whats a slipmat? is it like a carpet that u put under the tt to make it not slide?'
fek do i feel dumb now lol
hmmm me thinks i've taken a big step towards taking this dj caper seriously... i got a record bag for my birthday AND i sent out some demo's. oooh almost a year to the day i first started... anyone else have a more rapid rise (not saying im gifted or anything), like i know "readiness" cant be measured by days or years but curious to see how quickly certain people feel comfortable in getting up there to perform. i know i only have and i still shake and pee my pants when i play in front of people... even if its just to another person in my room.
only little dribbling pee, minimum flowage.
I have been reading up a lot on DJing and mixing, and i have decided, just this very moment, that i am now going to save up and purchase my very own decks for the first time.
You guys have inspired me
(well, not really, the music has really)
I am so excited now!!!
I'm gonna start a new job in the coming uni holidays, and next semester i am going to be doing part time uni, and working, so hopefully it won't take me too long to save up.
Jizza mate, what's the most people you've played in front of?
Just askin since you bought your decks only a few weeks before I got mine...
ummm webbie, i played at a friends 21st a couple'a months back... maybe 100 people. thats pretty much when i decided i wanted to take it that step further, i got a taste for it and at the moment im pretty hungry. why you ask?
