-- HARDEST games ever

Robocop 3 for SNES was impossible for me, I couldn't even make it past the first level, even with an emulator.
Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 (I managed to beat 3 :P)
Daimakimura (Ghouls and Ghosts) - any of the games in this series
Any 'bullet hell' shooter (Dodonpachi, Guwange, all of those Cave games)
Kid Chamelion (the game had over 200 levels and no save/password!)
For hard RPGs... try beating the Iseria Queen or Gabriel/Indalecio with his Limiter off in Star Ocean 2... OMG! 7th Saga is another hard RPG... you need to level up for hours and it still isn't enough. Fighting other main characters is almost impossible.
anybody try Halo on legendary, single player (no tag teamming) ???? i pee my pants at the thought!

half -life maybe not the hardest game..but fcukin hell
Ganarch has gotta be the meanest boss in the history of
gaming...i cheated and went invincible..still could`nt
kill the bastard.
Heres a few.
Quackshot - Mega Drive: The game itself was fairly difficult but i only completed the last level once and the end boss was hard.
C12 - Psone: Another difficult one, the levels themselves were playable but the bosses were just stooopidly hard. I remember the last boss, you went to the level and within 5 seconds you were dead!
Road Rash - Mega Drive: The early levels in this game were easy however once you got to the bigger bikes and the long 10 mile races you were screwed, especially with all the turns!
Resident Evil 1 (using Chris with only the knife) - Psone: Very very challenging, the hunters were just about impossible to kill, i completed the game but i ran past most zombies!!!
Solomans Key/club - gameboy: When you got on to the later levels this game was just impossible, very enjoyable if you like puzzlers.
Any game on the Spectrum, some of the games on the old speccy made you think "what the hell am i doing", operation wolf anyone!!
Im sure there are loads more out there, but for now.
Cheers

i agree with halo on legendary. Its rock hard even with 2 people, they dont ever miss a shot. Makes it a lot longer tho...
1943 for nes. that game is impossible to beat. it's so long!

yeah i know what you mean by tag-teaming. But it isnt much fun for the one waiting tho.
I always remember some of the early games on the spectrum being sooooo hard (maybe it was also due to me being a novice gamer then), but 'Army Moves' springs to mind - plus loads of others I dont remember the names to now!
Actraiser 1 was was pretty hard on the Super-Nes. But part 2 was even harder, and also less entertaining. From the newer games there is Contra for the PS2 comming to my mind. Also damn hard!

dat game was frikin hard.... well to me it was, and at the same time it got boring
Without a doubt
Final Battle for the sega genesis (or megadrive if your a crazy european) was the hardest game i ever played.
you get one life
thats all.
Does anyone remember The Amazing Spiderman on gameboy? Damn, that was hard, I think I only beat it twice ever
Someone remember Kid Chameleon for Mega Drive?
At the beginning quite easy but later on...
With sth over 100 Levels and no possibility to save - FORGET IT (in my case
)
Buckey O'Hare for normal Nentendo is the hardest ive played. Ive spent many hours playing video games also , AKA VIDIEIT!

On top of everything else, Final Fantasy Tactics (ps1) and Silpheed (ps2).
