I'm not the biggest Nu-NRG fan, but I disagree with this completely. Those Italian kids are real musicians unlike most trance producers. They studied in their local conservatory, and you can tell from their productions that they have a pretty good knowledge of classical harmonization and counterpoint that most edm producers lack. For example, Dreamland, Bonsai or Take your Air 2002 are beautifully crafted melodies that are constructed with their unique emblematic high energy that is worthy of their praise.

However, the reason that I understand why people would consider them cheese is the fact that their production skills and synth/technical usage are very raw. Also the fact that their melodies are an epitome of Italian melodrama doesn't make matters better for most people. I would've known that these guys were Italian even if no one had told me about their background. The lyrical expressionism in their ouvre is the 21st century evolution of what made Verdi and Puccini the masters of opera in the late 19th century. Huge, grandiose and pretentious melodic lines that always ended up bothering a lot of people but nevertheless stood the test of time as classics.

Also, i agree that some of Nu NRG's stuff is great. Don't know if you would call it cheese, but frankly, it doesn't matter.

No they are all natural, baby. She did have implants for a while, but had them removed.
