starting to look we're going to have our own tranceaddict room at the pride ball

Posted by chrismack on May-20-2004 02:01:

Uhm... that's what they get for putting a trance addict in charge, I guess... (kinda like putting a junkie in charge of the heroin stash...)

At this point, I'm just hoping that by having tons of different musical styles, a couple great live performers, and Decor/production values that should blow your socks off, we will convince people to buy tickets. (gay/straight/whatever)

The budget for this one party is Gi-normous. Our current budget would buy me a nice house in Riverdale. We're aiming to blow people away and begin something that will become THE party of the year.

Here's to Pride Ball.

Ok... so the last and final DJ has been booked (sorry to those of you who asked... I wish we could have booked everyone.)

It is: DJ Cajjmere Wray!

Who says we don't have an extremely impressive list of gay/lesbian/bi/etc. DJs in Toronto?

If you like the choices, it's all my doing. If ya don't, blame Colin and the rest of the event Steering Committee. (LOL)

Be sure to check out all the details at www.prismtoronto.com

Chris, I know a lot of people are excited to see what you guys have in store for pride this year.

How big is the second room?

Posted by Fast Turtle on May-20-2004 13:46:

I'm bi, but not exactly an accomplished DJ and probably won't be in the area for it. Ah well.

Sarah
It depends on how many tickets we sell. The Automotive building can hold as many as 10,000 people, (that's the size of 3.5 Koolhauses) and we will use curtain (and other stuff) to bring the rooms to the right size. The more tiks we sell, the bigger both rooms will get.

At this stage, we approaching the 1,000 ticket mark and we are still 6 weeks away! Since this is a fundraiser will all proceeds being donated to Pride Toronto (so we can continue to pay for our massive free event) we are really hoping to sell thousands of tiks.

XO
Chris
