yea i thought elevation was markus, bleh

Posted by globalgirl on May-27-2004 20:20:

Markus Schulz makes all his own music. He worked with Elevation on 2 tracks, took Elevation under his wings, spent alot of time with Elevation giving him tips to improve his sound and production. That is alot different than some of these other guys who dont even know how to turn on a computor.

Posted by sandstorm03 on May-27-2004 20:23:

ms pres elevation is missleading...it should be
evolution - unknown(mastered by markus) <- but that would never happen

Posted by torontotrance on May-27-2004 20:25:

I do give mad props to producers, deejays that try to make their own stuff. I can't stand some of markus's stuff but at least the guy has the balls to try to create his own original work unlike josh wink who stole dan bells's genius. If you know josh wink, please tell him that, I know he wants to know.

Posted by globalgirl on May-27-2004 20:26:

here we go again, a tired subject!

Posted by torontotrance on May-27-2004 20:28:

ignore sandstorm03, he has been pissing the world off for the last month and one of us mods will get tired of his posts in the next while and can his ass.

Posted by torontotrance on May-27-2004 20:34:

Well Josh Wink's Superphreak was hikjacked from Dan Bell's phreak. I've heard both and yup wink stole it

Blue Fear was hijacked for like this like that

atb stole scorchio's main riff for remember (which I heard that Darren Emerson found out and is not too pleased)

see if you legally sample something a la fatboyslim, then it is ok. Fatboyslim says that without samples, he would not be this big and then I reckon Tiesto saw that norman could do it and make millions, why not him, if you pay for the sample then who the hell cares. I'm pointing out at the people who just stole it.

Picotto sure has a lot of people working for him (or at least, had) just like Ricardo Ferri.

According to the booklet in tiesto's new cd, these people made the tracks:

Forever Today: Written & Composed by Tiesto, Geert Huinink & Daniel Stewart

Love Comes Again: Written & Composed by Tiesto & BT, Vocal by BT

Traffic: Written & Composed by Tiesto, Sample taken from Psykofuk by Sean Deason

Sweet Misery: Written & Composed by Tiesto,Dan Muckala, Jo Lloyd & Jon Ingoldsby, Vocals by Joanne Lloyd

Nyana: Written & Composed by Tiesto

UR: Written & Composed by Matt Hales, Tiesto, Naomi Striemer & Michael Scherchen, Vocals by Aqualung

Walking On Clouds: Written & Composed by Tiesto, Josh Gabriel & Kirsty Hawkshaw, Vocals by Kirsty Hawkshaw

A Tear In The Open: Written & Composed by Tiesto, Geert Huinink & Daniel Stewart, Vocal Sample courtesy of impro management

Just Be: Written & Composed by Tiesto, Judie Tzuke, James Wiltshire,Kirsty Hawkshaw. Vocals by Kirsty Hawkshaw

Adagio For Strings: Written & Composed by Samuel Barber, Production and arrangement by Tiesto

I think Tiesto did the biggest part of the album himself. Though the only track 100% made by him is Nyana. Off course Traffic and Adagio For Strings are not Tiesto tracks for the biggest part and with the other tracks he had some help, but i think the biggest part was done by himself.

Would be interesting to know some more about this, like knowing what Geert Huinink has done.

Posted by Subtle on May-27-2004 22:04:

I have no doubts that Tiesto did Nyana
anyone heared the awful similarity to his remix of Subtle By Design - Siriuz

Geert composes the classical melody in Forever Today. Tiesto said in a forum Q&A that he can't come up with big string pieces. Geert came up with the orchestral pieces for both Magik Journey and Forever Today.

Yes you're right, he just made Nyana out of this.

BTW i just noticed that Like This Like That is a 100% Blue Fear ripoff. Didn't know picotto did things like that.

Thanks for the info, i had a feeling that he did that. Geert seems to be good at classical melodies like the one in his new U-Turn track.

Geert Huinink = 1/2 majik musik & photon project & u-turn

That's because he's a classical composer

Damn, this topic is old..

a little off topic, but tranceaddict should make an IRC chatroom type thing. It would always have users and i'm sure every once in a while there'd be a real discussion thick as honey with invaluable, insightful information for production etc.
