Finally an entertaining game! The english reduced the french to a mere fraction of themselves for almost 90 minutes with their immense defense, but sadly a freekick was all Zidane needed to balance the game again. I didn't even see what happened before Henry was rolling over the pitch, and Zidane slammed the penalty home with absolutely no chance for James to catch it in a million years.

English pride got a severe dent, however there is no doubt who will go on to the finals after the disgrace of a match that was Croatia - Switzerland.

Due to the circumstances of the defeat, it will be hard for the English players to recover, had they lost to France if they were never infront wouldnt be so bad. To concede 2 goals in stoppage time is just so demoralising.

France is my number 1 team and England right behind them so it was great to see a wikkid match between the two. Happy my boy Zizou came out of it on top though! Now time for England and France to destroy the rest of the group... BYE BYE CROATIA!

I never said anything at all about all England fans being hooligans. But you do have a problem with football violence, no? The problem beeing so grave that you have been threatened to be kicked out of the tournament, no? There are some people involved in this giving England a bad reputation, but I NEVER said that all English football fans are hooligans.

Too me it seems obvious that youre upset about the result and rush to the computer to take out your frustration on whoever. Pointless.

UEFA are not necessarily correct about their threat, just because they have threatened. I would say that it was used as more of a deterrent for any would-be English hooligans

We deserved to beat your arses, we were magnificent, althought I did think Scholes was useless.

I cannot believe football, crazy game, but those French bastards did not deserve a damn thing out of that game, football is so cruel.

I've just got back from a pub in Hatfield near where I live, it really kicked off when it went 2-1 to France :/ fucking glasses and bottles flying everywhere, typical Chav wankers there :/ nearly got glassed myself...but I feel their pain, how the hell can England have so much bad luck

guys what occasions did you have during the second half ? i would like to know ... except for the penalty there was no danger for Barthez , unlike Calamity James who was saved thanks to the 10 other rosbeefs helping him in the defense
