Yea he got cahonies the size of a fucking small grapefruit. Not shure if i said this earlyer but one of the guys threw a can of beer at him he got a full can and threw it right back at the guy. Was fuckign funny

his old trance productions (from 'the album') pretty much got me into trance but nowadays i reckon they are shite. the good stuff was made since baguette and since he turned into techno, like 'prendi and scappa', 'verdi' and 'pandoro'

the guy is an all round entertainer.

I can't wait to see him at this saturday.

One of the very few top atrists that hasn't let success go to his head.

You should try to get your hands on Mauro Picotto - Live At Trance Energy (dunno the date anymore, set is from 2001 anyway).

It's a banging set that starts with techno (baguette) and ends with the more trancy tunes (proximus). The set consists almost completly out of BXR-records, the lable MP was active for at that time. I think he has switched to meganite or something but I am not sure.

At this party, it was the first time I heard Picotto.. Been a fan ever since

Mauro Picotto label is Alchemy (has he dropped the Taotek label idea)

His night is called Meganite.

Up there with Cocoon now.

At one time the most important producer in the world some may think not now since he's gone full on techno but I disagree.

To me The Alchemist EP was taking the old BXR style of music to the next level.

Mauro is great, too many bangin' tracks to list.

IMO one of the top 10 Trance DJ's/Producers ever.

Mauro Picotto is definitely NO Trance DJ/Producer. He used to be one with all that Proximus/Lizard/Komodo stuff, but then changed his style significantly. He plays almost only Techno and Tech-House. His productions have nothing in common with trance, too... Just listen to his latest EPs, then you'll discover he's into bangin, hard Techno nowadays.

Cheers
Chris

Well then that would make him a Trance DJ and Producer wouldn't it

Just because Led Zeppelin doesn't make music anymore doesn't mean they aren't a great rock band.

sorry but his night is no where near the level of cocoon. Mauro has only been doing the meganite thing for a while. Cocoon is the best established techno party in all of europe and beyond. It will take some going before mauro's nights are up there with the likes of cocoon (but he'll get there eventually i'm sure).

Sad

<-----bummed out

because after all the good stuff I've heard about Mauro, he will finally be in Detroit in September. However i will still be in Greece the night he's here. I know there could be "worse sacrifices" but I'm bummed I'm gonna miss him. I hear he doesn't come here much.

Try ever. I think he's only been in the Midwest area twice. Both times in Chicago. Boo.

I'll try to make it to the show so I can give you a full review gem
