I thought we were supposed to be evolving not stuck in the cave men days. Who cares how people used to act. It's all about making positive choices now.

I'm TOTALLY with RJ on this one. I grew up in Northern Ontario where all we did was drink beer, play hockey and fight.....I've been in a few good ones myself. I think everyone here can agree that in certain extreme situations, one may have no choice or find that they've lost control of their temper but the point RJ is making is that it should always be one's personal goal, as they mature and grow, to work on channelling and controlling that energy for more positive means of resolution and vastly minimizing the times when violence arises.

FF

i was born and raised in willowridge..not the nicest of areas throughout my early teenage hood i must have been jumped 4-5 times for my shit (my biuke, my watch my shoes my jacket my hat my walkman etc.) yes i went home and called the cops the first two times..u think i ever saw any of that shit back? no..then i grew older and bigger and the last time i was jumped was when i was 18 i hadnt been jumped in 3 years...he said he had a gun i called his bluff and punched out the mother******...The end. some times u got to take justice into your own hands..because their are ignorant people out there that will try to take advantage of you...so you check em

anyways point of the story is..sometimes there are no other ways out... u think i could sit down with them and talk to them and explain to them why it was a bad thing to rob people? no. u think i could walk away and turn the other cheek? no cause my other cheek would take a boot to it. sobasically i dont promote violence i just encourage it

AHAHAHA wow fighting isnt acceptable...

did you go talk to the principal and try and call their parents? They are grown men not little kids its not your place to tell them whats good for them. Id have walked over and hit you if you even told me what was acceptable. Superman costume or not. Next time stay out of it and mind your own business.

Everyone knows violence doesnt solve problems unless ur willing to kill the guy and everyone else who comes after you.

Totally agreed, sometimes you have no choice.....I'm with ya and would have had your back if I had been there. I think the point though is too many people don't use it just as a last resort or in self defence as was your case.

It's the people that go out LOOKING for shit that I can't stand.

RJ, you did the right thing. A lesser man, like myself , would have just watched for sheer entertainment LOL j/k

but seriously, fighting is inappropriate, especially for men of their age! I mean, these guys probably have kids, and should be setting an example. Its more common with guys in their late teens/early twenties, but i dont think ive seen men in their 30s fighting in public.

But like someone else said, sometimes, there is no other way out. But that is a very rare thing, and i dont think that most fights happen under those circumstances. A lot of the time its just nonsense.

to the guy that said RJ shoulda stayed out of it, why should he? they were doing somehting wrong, and he put an end to it. IMO, alot of ppl share your opinion, and this is a problem. If one of the ppl that was fighting was someone u loved, and they were gettin beat on, would u still want him to stay out of it? or what if it was ur kid watchin?

guys obviously chatting on ta doesnt solve anything, lets all get together in a parking lot and settle this in a free for all (BYOW)
