I don't have BET on my channel lists just because I'm sick of seeing everything you guys are sick of seeing. Fact is, if you don't watch, they can't sell advertising for as much. We all know what happens when the money starts to go away.

The best MAN for the Presidency today...not white man, not black man or anything like that. The absolute best man for the job is Colin Powell and he would win by a landslide if he ran. Why he doesn't want to, we may never know but he's the SHIT! I'm guessing he knows much more about what's going on up there than we do and figures he can do much more in the position he's in now than he could in the oval office.

We all agree BET is useless, tasteless shit...so don't watch it. Want to see a powerful black actor kick ass on the tube? Watch ABC's "The Practice"
Steve Harris is the man and portrays a man in his position with dignity and grace. Doesn't matter if he's black or white....he just happens to be a bad ass actor.

Maybe it's just me but I don't see color lines any more when it comes to people. I feel sorry for those who can't embrace the cultures of others around them. But don't worry and don't let it stress you too much. Stupidity runs rampant in our society and the only thing we can do is to embrace ourselves and push on through the crap. My own two....just becuase pop culture says it's "cool" to be a thug or whatever you want to call it, doesn't mean it actually is. Pity those who don't have the strength that you do and help them see a different way.

anyway, i totally agree. BET is wack, Soul Plane is Wack, Method and Red is wack, White Chicks is wack, Sprite commercials are wack, McDonalds commercials are wack etc. it's all ignorant and makes me want to vomit.

every other fucking major network channel like ABC, NBC, CBS, etc are ALREADY white-anglo-saxon stations, i mean rarely do african americans or ANY person of color ever get their own shows, exposure or press from these channels and because of that that is the sole purpose of BET, if there were more blacks with exposure and influence on these channels there wouldn't be a BET in the first place but obviously that isn't the case

if theres a black guy in a sitcom, he usually plays the retarded, uneducated roles, except in My Wife and Kids. thats a good show, and it doesnt fit into black and white stereotypes.

scrubs is a great show. the black guy in that one is hilerious.

well its actually hard to explain wat my point of view is.. im trying to say that i hate indian (punjabi) because they are similair to the situation with the folks in BET.. hope that made sense..

Actually you are wrong because I don't speak that way. "We all" is a very strong statement. It has nothing to do with race. For me my response would have been written as a simple "I agree". I definitely would have never written "tru dat". That just sounds ignorant.

It was the way it was written...as a question. He sounded confused and surprised that not all black people are thugs. That would be like a black person assuming that all white people listen to country music, carry shotguns, and drive pick up trucks.

Most stations now do nothing but cater to minorities. Every god damn channel has a show about a latino family, or black brothers, or single moms, etc etc etc. It's all about ratings.

And how many "white-anglo-saxon stations" exist is not the point. The point is that a "WASP Entertainment Television" would be immediately shut down on terms of discrimination and racism. Talk about a double standard.
