Everyone has said pretty much everything. I really enjoyed George Acosta though, I always have. Seems like my fellow TA's had some of their minds changed after yesterdays set. I didn't think it was going to get any better than George but man PVD raped the place, I have never danced so long or fast or crazy in my life. This event was better than Ultra or Tiesto or PVD at Space. NO Searches! Woohoo, I loved that everyone had coolers of alcohol and Fat Tuesdays cups - it was like an old school rave in a pig-pen but that's okay the fog of dirt made everything look kind of dreamy, lol.

It was nice meeting BreakinBeats (AWESOME DANCER, I wanted to give you your own perimeter), ex-dj, feli18 and liz your right it is a small world, you got to love when coincidences like that happen. It was also fun dancing with Bling I was by myself most of the time but having the time of my life. It was nice rocking out to PVD like a maniac. This event has me feening for more!

Dark Angel was too busy recording everything, but I'm sure he would have danced if he wasn't. I don't know if you saw me, but I had a white visor, an American flag bandana across my face (to keep forom inhaling all the dust) and an all white outfit.

Where the hell do you get the energy to dance like that? How old are you, you look so young

You looked me straight in the eye like twice! I was behind you at the beginning of PVD's set then next to breakinbeats and ex-dj. I was wearing a blue Oakenfold shirt which people found amusing.

Substances??? No, just trance and LOTS of water. I just like the music and it keeps me moving. I am pretty young (19), so my youth keeps me going as well.

Awwww poor Bling!!!! You sound so miserable as I am reading your posts! Yeah, the dust was pretty bad. When I first got there, my friend and I would go to Coco walk and use their bathroom to rinse off the dust from our faces and shit, but at one point the dust just got so bad, so we gave up on trying to clean ourselves. Thats why I kept the bandanna on my face for the rest of the night.

I had a really good time though. I was really tired, so once PVD came on, I couldn't really dance as much as I wanted to, cuz my legs decided to go on strike (I went to SPACE the night before and danced my ass off too, so my legs needed a break) haha, I hope no one thinks I am a dork for saying this, but I sorta liked motorcycle. I think the chick sounds pretty good live. THat Jon Secada dude was, um, o.k. That was an interesting performance.

One of the highlights of the evening for me was as I was leaving to go to my car, this chick comes up to me and compliments me on my pants. She then pulls out this mini flyer and tells me she is with HOT JAM entertainment and wants me to audition to try to become one of their dancers. I almost nut in my pants because I never thought in a million years that some one from HOT JAM would even notice me!!! That totally put a smile on my face!!!!

Anyways, the car ride home sucked because of traffic and I got stuck bringing home this rolling chick and she was bugging the hell out of me!!! She kept complaining about shit and that she needed water. I think she passed out a couple of times. I don't care if people get messed up and shit, but don't get to a point where there is a possibility you could die or get really sick. No wonder a lot of people don't like candy ravers...drugs are bad, Mmm k?

It took me about an hour and some minutes to take a shower and remove all the dust from my body. My bathtub was black!!! Gross..........

But it was nice seeing everyone. I wanted to chill with you guys a bit more, but it was getting so crowded up from and the body heat and dust was overwhelming! I am not sure if they are up yet, but check: www.eventpictures.com if you wanna see some more pics. I don't know about the rest of you, but I missed work today so I could sleep and I think I am going to have a low key evening.

I just started encoding the massive 4 hour, 18 minute video. Up first Markus, then Motorcycle. Paul was last....of course. Save the BEST for last.

Since I have to play through the whole thing to encode it, this will run into the night. Should all be ready by tomorrow.

I promise, anyone that wasn't there will not be disappointed with Paul's set....Oh good LORD....

Oh MAN. Like Melissa said earlier, if I wasn't videotaping, I woulda been dancing my ass off. I did a bit while recording tho. Oh man, Paul's set brought me to life, 1000%!!!!

Posted by FallingMoon on Jul-05-2004 22:59:

Hey I was dancing like crazy and jumping up and down and I was so effing sober...not even 1 red bull (damn I missed those). So no such substances to speak of!!

I wasn't even dancing like that at Tisto...maybe because he can't rock it like Paul...oh wells can't wait till September!!

Posted by Cobalt on Jul-05-2004 23:10:

Got there around 3:40, just as Markus was playing Satellite (Coldharbour Remix), and danced for a while. I took a walk to find a water fountain, because I didn't want to shell out money for overpriced water, and found one at Coco Walk.

I came back just as Motorcycle was starting (I didn't think they would be on that early). I also thought that it would be a bit more "live," rather than just Jes singing over a dub, even though it was a fine performance. Deep Breathe Love was a bit too chill for me, but Imagination sounded great. As The Rush Comes was beautiful as always, but the track has gotten really tired at this point. I didn't really like Jes' attempt at live vocal edits, either.

Acosta played a decent hard trance set, but I personally can't stand his personality at the booth. It always feels to me like he's waving his arms saying "look at me!" rather than caring about the set he's spinning.

I said hello to Arturo, since I didn't know what anyone else looked like, but I don't think he had a clue who I was. Probably happens a lot with him.

No ATB. "Sick." Unfortunate coincidence or premeditated effort to avoid his nemesis? The plot thickens!

I think just about everything about John Secada has been said already. I really have no respect for people who lip-sync, and I'm almost positive he did. I went and sat down under the trees for a little while until Paul started.

As many others have already said, Paul's set was simply amazing, and renewed my faith in his abilities. I'm very pleased with the harder sound he decided to take. Traffic devastated once again, but it was merely a prelude to 45 minutes of hard and techy trance that tore the crowd to pieces. I missed his Sensation set, but I really need to hear it so I can identify some of the track he played in Miami.

But there was still a theme of epic trance. I absolutely loved hearing Wir Sind Wir live; the track is well worthy of Paul's production skills, and carries an emotional, meaningful tone. Nothing But You as the last track was sort of cheap, but it worked and is still nice to hear live. Mindcircus (Original Mix) as the encore, however, was very classy and fitting.

Anyone want to start a tracklist?
