More right-wing propaganda.

Besides, I stated rock solid evidence. That is for those who did not understand, video or stfu.

Sigh, my what an excellent rebuttal ... "right-wing propoganda" indeed. Well now I feel obliged to respond with a silly right wing response ... "why do you hate america?" Well fine, I don't have video, but maybe you'll believe this guy:

quote:

Kevin Diaz, Star Tribune Washington Bureau Correspondent
June 25, 2004 KENN0625

WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore said Thursday that he edited a Minnesota congressman's words out of his movie, "Fahrenheit 9/11," because "He didn't answer the question."

Rep. Mark Kennedy, R-Minn., fired back by accusing Moore of lying about their filmed encounter.

He said Moore "recounted to reporters a conversation between us that never took place."

Moore's comments, on the eve of the film's opening today, came in response to earlier criticism by Kennedy that his answers were cut from a segment of the film where he was asked about how many members of Congress have children serving in Iraq.

Moore said that despite the hard feelings, the Kennedy scene is one of the movie's "funniest" moments.

Kennedy "looked at me like I'm crazy," Moore said, in a new account of their meeting that differs significantly from an earlier transcript provided by the film's producers. "He'll get a big laugh and Republicans will agree with him."

Kennedy called Moore "a master of the misleading" after he saw a film clip of Moore's ambush-style interview of him.

In it, Moore is shown asking Kennedy to help him get members of Congress to get their kids to enlist in the military and fight in Iraq.

According to Kennedy, he told Moore that he had a nephew on his way to Afghanistan.

In fact, Kennedy says, he has had two nephews in the military, with his own son considering a career in the Navy.

Kennedy's side of the conversation, however, was cut from the film, leaving him looking bewildered and defensive.

In a Capitol Hill appearance Thursday, Moore denied censoring Kennedy's remarks because they didn't fit into the premise of his film, as Kennedy charges.

"He mentioned that he had a nephew that was going over to Afghanistan," Moore recounted. "So then I said 'No, no, that's not our job here today. We want you to send your child to Iraq. Not a nephew.' "

A transcript of the exchange -- posted on Moore's Web site -- does not include the same dialogue Moore related to reporters.

The transcript also quotes Kennedy telling Moore that he'd be happy to help in his recruitment drive, a promise that the film's producers say Kennedy failed to keep.

I'm not entirely sure who this Moore guy is, but he's got some nerve saying that about Moore. Obviously another propogandist for the right...

Occ, I think that Moore has a case here. The segment in the film wasn't about Afghanistan -- he wasn't asking if they had nephews anywhere, not to mention nephews in Afghanistan. The is a lot packed into the film, and they're evidently pressed for time. Irrelevant discussions about kids in Afghanistan when the subject at hand is Iraq really aren't relevant.

Furthermore, have you seen the movie?

Do you know that there are still organization that believes and claim that the genocide of second world war never happened, that the "showers" never existed, the killing of kids never happened, etc....

stupid this is right

well some of you look the same while trying to diss micheal moore....

even if there are some facts you can contest a little bit....the essential of the message is sadly true....you cant deny !!!

So he edited out the part where Senator Kennedy actually responded to his question in favor of the look of shock or "guilt" that Moore was looking for? What case is that? Furthermore, he edited out Kennedy's response from the transcripts he realeased of the interview. I would be slightly offended if Moore did that to me too. Saying that the Moore has a good case because the Senator's relatives are in Afghanistan and not Iraq is a mere technicality. The implied argument was that Senator's are unwilling to put their loved ones in harms way. This Senator did, and he could be the only Senator for all I care, but since it didn't flow with Moore's premise, he cut out the response.

And no I haven't seen the film which is why I haven't critiqued, praised, or attacked the movie yet. But I did see this one particular part of the film on Ifilms as it was posted on fark.

I just saw this film today.

As an Aussie all i can say to the american T/A's is that if George W Bush gets in again for another 4 years you'll all be fukt.

Michael Moore presents his own perspective on the insane government and the stupid president of the U.S.A but while it's his own anti-bush perspective it's still all true, and so sad.

Vote him out will ya, i would if i could!

...now watch this drive

Sure, as soon as it comes out on video

Who knows, I may end up liking the film. I've heard that except for a few minor points (such as the Senator thing) Moore is generally not as misleading as he was in Bowling.

I found this to be amusing however hehe

When I heard about the planes crashing I felt angry and at the same time expected something be done. But who knew this idiot was sitting in some class room waiting to be told what to do.
