anyway, it's going to be aug 21 unless something stops me from getting the house or moving in, which isn't too likely but i won't be 100% sure until the week before.

Put me down on the DJ list as well. Don't go hard on me though, especially if I will begin to trainwreck.

Just noticed, it is on Saturday. Grrr...

My work schedule is screwed now.

Posted by Shemeck on Aug-03-2004 21:49:

I go for sure.
Put me on the DJ list.

Why don't you just DL?

Well, I'm not sure if I have other plans already, if not I will play a bit if theres a spot but no big deal, I've been too hard at work to keep up with vinyl lately. Gotta get work done so I can buy my Final Scratch/Tablet PC/Xone 92/Technics/JBL SF15 setup I'm dreaming of. See you guys around soon.

Why DA? If you are afraid of trainwrecks, I don't think we will go hard on you.

Or will we?

Well, for one, I don't have many vinyls.

For another, I got stage fright last time, and, to combat it, i got TOO drunk.

And lastly, I know shit about operating a Pioneer mixer.

Operating 500/600 is very easy. It was made for a DJ with a DJ in mind. Functions are basic and self explanatory. I never even looked at the manual and I learned about 90% of features (still have some questions about sampler and the fader start switches above the x-fader curve switch).

Stage fright? Just be yourself and look at the TA's who will dance, not the ones who will stand in the corner and criticize your mixing. And most of all, have fun. It's not like you perform with a gun to your head in front of 60000 people.

Vinyls? From what I have seen in many different posts, you got enough.

Don't sweat it, mate. You're good to go.
