-- Review: Trance Night Pt. I w/Edgar V. & John '00' Flemming @ Boa-Redux!!!!!
Pages (3): « 1 2 [3]
I was REALLY tired from spending the day in Niagara, but decided to head out to Boa to hear JOOF rock it - and boy did he ever. Loved it!
Got there just before Edgar V started to spin. He played some awesome tunes, but I really wanted to save my energy for the DJ after him, so I sat by the front stage for most of his set.
Left at about 7, after hearing JOOF spin for 2 hours. He was still tearing it up, but I really needed to sleep.
It was great to finally hear some trance on Boa's sound system and it sounded awesome!! It was a bit too loud at times, but alright nonetheless. Loved the fact that there was plenty of room to dance.
Shoutouts to the usual crew. You know who you are.
See you all Friday (hopefully)!!!
J.

What a night!!!
This was my first time being at Boa and I loved it! Friendly security and wicked sound!
Edgar V....
Ok, someone compared his style to D:Fuses style... these guys sound nothing alike or atleast this night they didn't. Edgar played really good set, playing some monster tunes and a few I've never heard before which were amazing! Edgar definitley had the crowd going... nice set!!7.5/10
Next up JOHN OO FLEMING!!!
WOW... for me this is what Trance should normally sound like! Fleming played perfectly for 4 hours and just had me dancing around for the most part or his set. It was Trance that would make you smile and dance all night simply because it was soooo TRancey. John described his sound as DEEP TRANCE, and it was exactly that. We heard everything from Dark Atmospheric Trance to Progressive Psy-Trance. His set was for sure better than his WEMF set and this was the best 4 hour set I've ever heard. 10/10
JOOF:
Oliver Prime - Radiance
Li Kwan - Point Zero (The Digital Blonde remix)
Steve Birch - Spaced Out
L.S.G. - Netherlands
Astrix vs Dj Dimitri - Evox
Dickster - Dizzy Drops
Brain XL - Shockwave
He also played Faithless - God is a DJ(Astral Projection Remix) and some psy-goa remix of Prodigy - Voodoo People as an encore.

No co-workers came to Boa . ...and my only close Italian buddy is Adrian. I got no friends that listen to Stevie B either.
crap, i can't remember the guy's name. mind u, he didn't say he was friends with you, but graham told me that those guys were some people u worked with, whose rugby game u went to see earlier.
Woah.. This J00F guy is way too good....
Bring him back soon - PLEASE!
J00F is definitely my favourite trance dj. Corny as it sounds but he's the only dj that never spins filler.
Prolly the most uncheesiest trance dj ever, would make a prog snob interested. His tracks are all high quality body rockers.
I've never moved like that for any other dj. Even for PVD, AVB etc.
If I want airy epic melodict trance - AvB!
If I want proper deep trance - J00F!
Both are going to get my votes in the top100 this year, ja!
He's been my fav trance dj for a long while now...I think ever since I heard him at viva
he re-invents trance...you should feel like you're in a trance when you're listening to it
and joof executes this perfectly

Can someone please explain to me how the hell J00F can be so damn good???
I just bought Astrix - Coolio (HOMmega productions) vinyl last week (which he played @ Boa & WEMF) and it brought me right back to his sets in late July/August.
J00F is an f'ing master... wow.
