ahaha hey u dont work for the monitor do u dirk?
Nope... I used to know some people that worked there, but I don't know if they are still doing that. Why do you ask
oh cuz u reminded of a guy that i know. and he's into trance too.

^Yes if the set up is done correctly and the stages aren't so apart from each other it would work. We need a big lineup of DJs though, but first things first...we need permision, funding, etc..
Any more updates on how this is going?
two stages would be awesome but its gonna be even harder to pull off. i was going to go talk to the county today but i need to be ready for any question they pose to me so instead im gonna think of all the problems that could happen and see if i can figure out a way to stop/prevent them from happening.
MAJOR PROBLEMS:
1. POWER
2. EQUIPMENT(keep in mind that if u use your equipment theres sand, humidity, salty air, and salt water which can destroy electrical equipment)
3. Connections (salt and sand can prevent good connections)
My dad used to be a park ranger/beach patrol and told me these are the hardest things to do.(there was people before me?haha) Once i figure these out im gonna go to the county. Lates
Also they might ask for a Risk Management plan.... If they do, my fraternity has one that I can probably adapt for this party. I don't know if this is going to be an issue, but there's a thought.
I think Alberto brought up a good suggestion. Like I stated earlier. It all depends on how big rapfiend wants to make this event. The bigger the event the more funding we will need. this will have to cover advertising and any city fees we might encounter, as well.
yo wheres Feuhrer? i got some questions for him about gigs he's done in other places. specifically about power.....
Check your PMs mate
oh whoa i feel like keanu reeves. thanks man i just never checked them before. thanks man.

right talked to the right people and got some good info: 1. the county park director is all for a concert(as long as it dose not conflict with the park entrance fees which =$0 after 6pm and 9am) 2. he will present the concert to the county commisioner via his agenda. but i have to write up a proposal. 3. i need insurance. ima talk to the local event insurance people tomorrow. if any one has any proposal or anytype of offical documents that i can get an idea for the proposal i would greatly appreciate it. e-mail<+>[email protected] thanks and lates.=>>>>>>

These guys could possibly help you. They are the ones that usually organize big events down in the valley, with pretty decent lineups in the past (i.e. paul oakenfold a few months ago, although outdated, still a draw at Sout padre). There is some contact information on the site. The guy that runs it is named Drew.
looks like we're getting the ball rolling here I would love to help you guys out still. What else do we need done?

yeah man could ya call him and see if he has a copy of an old proposal cuz i dont have any clue where to start when it comes to the proposal. thanks. oh and the insurance guy is gonna call me sometime this week hopefully before i go back to work.....
thanks for the energetik thing i was looking for valley trance luvers too hehe.
Definitely check out any of Drew's (energetik) events that goes on down there. Like an oasis in the valley. Everything I have been to has been well put together. Bring friends though because unfortunately the support isn't always there in terms of numbers and the more people, the merrier.

thanks man and anyone that loves electronic music in the vallley is cool with me just because there is almost no-one that really knows it here......
well i scrapped the idea for having it on the beach with us providing EVERYTHING. so right now im in talks with tequila frogs to have it there but before i can get a price on "renting" tequila frogs i need dj's and unfortunantly........signed contracts with the dj's aka you all. so ima start up the list again and try to get the contracts made up or at least get old ones and use those as a template. lates.
