ok i hardly ever post here unless it is something that is worth posting. and i think this is definately worth posting. i am a huge TRANCE fan, not just tiesto (although he is one of my favorites). i dont understand how people can be upset over his performance at the olympics. that one performace was shown to more people then any other Dj set in history. do you know what kind of publicity that gets the MUSIC that i love? i know some people want to keep it underground and i feel like that too, but the EDM scene is really exploding now and if you cant stop it just hold on for the ride. he just took one of the biggest steps in EDM history and he is getting hated on for it. tiesto has done more for trance that most other DJs alredy then most others will ever do in there lives. i also agree 2 years ago tiesto was freakin amazing and he has fallen, BUT ONLY SLIGHTLY. and i still love his music and his live sets 90% of the time are second to none.i remeber the first time i went to space to see him,it ranks as one of the best nights of my life, i danced all night long and when he finished i had so much energy i stayed dancing till noon. if you have a bad impression of him from space, that is totally not his fault, you gotta blame mgmt for letting all those people into space to begin with.i remeber when Van dyk used to come to the old space and even though that one was alittle bigger it was just as packed.im sure if there were less people on 6/18 alot more of you would have had a better time. it just goes to show how famous he is. and how can you get mad at him for getting famous. im sorry but that is one of the most annoying arguments i always hear bout him. "he is to mainstream" well let me tell you something, good music is good music no matter if its trance, rock, rap , salsa. and if it is good music it will make it to the masses. and that is what tiesto makes. GOOD MUSIC. i'm looking at armin/ferry(who are also 2 of my favorites) and i see so much talent, what if he wins #1 dj in the coming years and he blows up incredibly, will all you armin lovers say " NO, he is to mainstream i cant listen to him anymore." i hope not if you are a true fan you will stick with the music you love.
i read over the track list and even though they were all tiesto songs, alomost all of them i loved. if there is a tiesto set where he plays only his music that has to be one of the best if not the best sets he could possibly throw down. he even played my favorite track of all time obsession - tiesto/ junkie xl. IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE I CAN GET THIS SET PLEEEEEAAAASEEEE TELL ME HOW???
I totally forgot that is this amazing thing was happening on friday.... does anyone know where i can see it again....

damn im just wondering if his olympics set was recorded i want to hear it i missed it i saw the tracklisting and it was sick.....

I think Tiesto is Asome. Too bad i couldn't watch the ceremony because of no power.
Great fuckin post!!! Being from the northeast.....there is plenty of Tiesto bashing going on up here.....(they all act like fuckin cry babies cause Tiesto didn't spin an encore last time he has @ Roxy in NYC) so trust me, I sick and tired of hearing it also. Its one never ending cycle.....the number one DJ will continue to get bashed only because he is number 1. Its funny cause half of these assholes have never even seen him perform more than once if that.
Anyways to get back on topic, I got his whole performance from the opening ceremony on my pc and watched it last night.......truly amazing!!!

I know you folks know I'm not a huge Tiesto fan but yah I recored the opening cermonies. I haven't go to watch it yet. Maybe sometime this weekend who knows...
