I'm gonna say it in this thread instead of making a new one, why cause I'm a lurker and I don't feel like being put on spot in a new thread and this will probly go un noticed but at least it will be said.

I think what Tiesto did was amazing! Not what songs he played, or how good/bad his skills were, but at work today and even a little yesterday, people were asking me questions. They know I do my dj thing and enjoy trance music, but most of them (No matter how many cds I give them) dont have a way to experience the good stuff, the stuff that isin't played on the radio here. So back to my point, they were all asking questions about the songs, the dj, the way it works. These people have never had a "Trance Experience" in their life, but as tiesto played his songs in the backround of the ceremonies, they had that experience. And aperently they liked it too, and these are people from many cultures, ages, religion and beliefs.

One way or another it doesn't matter how well he did, because he did as well as he had to. The international exposure to trance has just BLOWN up and maybe you all can't see that yet, but I saw it first hand when I went to work today.

Cheers Tiesto!!! I'll admit that you fuk up just like all the rest of em, but you do a damn good job of spreading the lovely music to people who would otherwise not experience it. You just opened the biggest door for trance in general, I beleive, that may have ever been opened.

MrMarcellos make a torrent of it instead

I had 4 friends buy his album because of that, I'm questioning my friendship with each of them , tiesto is pants. It's certainly the greatest publicity venue for a deejay.

They claimed they would never buy an EDM CD, then I found out they bought the Tiesto CD. I question their judgement lol and no I'm not serious about questioning the friendship

I didn't see it on TV but listened to some of the ceremony on BBC Radio 5 in my car. The sports commentator called him "DJ Tiatto" throughout.

Maybe it was down to the fact that the acoustics of the stadium didn't help ? Spectators probably thought he train wrecked but he didn't because of the sound being echoed through out the stadium ?

well, it's not a MPEG (it's a wmv) but
I have just placed on my BitTorrent a video that MrMarcellos sent me from Tiesto spinning at the opening ceremonies. It is 2 hours and 5 minutes long, recorded from a Dutch TV station so there is talking over it (like there was on every broadcast".

head on over to my website and look in the "torrents" box under the news. If you aren't farmiliar with BitTorrent, click the "need help with torrents?" link it will explain it & link you to a BT client u can download that is safe and reliable

I heard they showed him quite a bit on the USA NBC HD channel I wonder if anybody capped that
