let's keep the suggestions coming , come on guys !!

what about this one : Sergio Del Rio - Parazaar (Gambafreaks Vs Fedo Mix)

Posted by Pointy on Oct-09-2004 11:22:

Kevin Yost - Gentle Storm

I've been loving Kevin Yost for quite some time now, and this is from his new Generation EP. Its really really beautiful, up-tempo deep house. This aint so much dancefloor material, but more just a sensual, moving tune with just flows so so nicely - as expected with Kevin Yost. Really atmospheric deep house here, get it

Only thing I've heard from him is the live-mix that he n Derrick Carter did at their regular Om night.

did you guys check stuff from Sean Ward ? Pointy come on !!!

btw good suggestion

Posted by Pointy on Oct-11-2004 07:08:

Mate I found a Sean Ward tune by suprise on a CD i got, can't remember which was, but was fair sweet Btw that Parazaar remix is mad!! Lovin the warped guitar

Just got another sick tune, very much in the flavour of Junior Jack n Kid Cremes.

Discoaction vs Najib - Cross The Dancefloor (Club Mix)

Then just some others...

Roland Clark 'Resist (Original Southern Divide Remix)
Olav Basoski 'Opium Scumbagz' (Cleptomaniacs Remix)
Kings of Tomorrow - Another Day
Calinda - Ritmo Dynamic (Club Vocal)
TJM 'I Don't Need No Music' (Joey Negro's Uptown Edit)
11am 'Give It Up' (Sean McCabe Dub)
Kings of Tomorrow feat. Densaid - I'm So Grateful (Angel's Smooth Mix) -- Listening to this at the moment...Its on this ollllddd 1996 Ministry of Sound Sessions CD mixed by Frankie Knuckles that I got. For some reason, i just love it
Hot Lizard - The Theme (Love From San Francisco Mix) -- This is also on the before mentioned Frankie Knuckles CD...this is deeeeep, kinda minimal, yet still rolls along without getting boring
Lenny Williams - You Got Me Running (Breakdown Edit) Found this on a Danny Krivit "Original Rare Disco Mixes" CD, tis very funky, the harmony in the vocals are just lovely as well, then comes guitar licks, nice keys..hahahah this is phat
Elmar Schubert - Hold You Back -- This guy's one-half of Satin Souls (the other being Vincenzo if you've heard of em), anyway this is the opening release for the new Satin Souls imprint, and its delicious. This has a really really nice boogie to it, coupled with an abundance of sound n atmosphere. Really really really nice stuff here!!

I think this'll be the last edit of this post for a while - i've spent the past hour or so continually updating as I remember sweet tunes

Catch.

Not an expert on the classification of tunes, but I browsed on over to HouseAddict.com and someone else mentioned this too, so it must be house.
Funky House at that. DAMN!

Three Sixty - Body Music (Main Mix)

Just insane if you have a really good subwoofer.

Posted by 6iki_Snake on Oct-12-2004 10:13:

yea, the music i spin is trance and groovy/funky/deep/latin house so this topic is very good. Got a test press last week called 'Ritmo Carimbo by Delvino and Ken N.' nice track, it begins 'okay' but the break is so awesome! the piano and the bass! that is so cool.

Posted by Daveje on Oct-12-2004 11:07:

yeah first it's just a beat then the break.. then it get's soo coool i love those latin themed songs, just sounds so funky!

edit: couple of other nice ones

Malibu - Slave Guitar (A Side) (great guitar riff from a lenny kravitz track i think??)
Mauve - Get Away (Dub Remix)
syke n sugarstarr - toda minha vida (dub mix)
A-Studio - SOS
la fuerza positiva - senorita (urban magic vocal)
louie vega feat anane - mozalounge (jazz & groove mixes)
dr kucho - lie to yourself < big summer hit

youre totally right, the track wich made me wanne spin house ( and made me wanne spin in general actually ) was

Dj Chus feat the groove foundation - that feeling [de poniente remix] and the [stereo mix]

a friend of mine played the poniente remix in the club he was playing, and in the car on the trip back home i asked him what that one track was. And ive been loving it ever since.

I got that vinyl 2 times, one for using, one for safekeeping. I also love Baila from Dj Chus.

Posted by Daveje on Oct-12-2004 12:55:

the stereo mix of that feeling is such a cool tune, really give's you a summery feel! baila from dj chus & david penn is great too! especially the mediteranean vocal mix..! was used on the sundale cd mixed by ricky rivaro. great cd by the way!

Posted by 6iki_Snake on Oct-12-2004 14:28:

i completely agree, you have great taste *shakes your hand*

[EDIT]Just saw youre from Holland, haha that explains it

OMG

Posted by ilovetrance2k3 on Oct-16-2004 21:21:

please dont call those recommendations deep house.

thats like calling polka alternative rock.

those tracks are far from deep, if anything they are cheesy ibiza house anthems for mongers that wear sunglasses at night.

Posted by fastmp3 on Oct-17-2004 02:03:

it's true there are more recommendations in funky house , but i wouldn't go as far as calling them cheesy ibiza house anthems.

tell us all what do you like lately in deep house

Although your comment wasn't directed towards me, here's two recent deep house compilations I think are quite fantastic.

Terry's Cafe 7 (Mixed by Terry Lee Brown Jr.)
Deep Train 3 (Mixed by The Timewriter)

Posted by montana on Oct-17-2004 02:57:
