Nah, it was the lady from the new music, with the weird hair and the lip piercing

he was getting fed up about the sound, cdj overheats, he gets pissed off and runs off stage to his manager and some that saw him more clearly said he was screaming, i dunno. He comes back on, plays like 2 more tracks, then signs his headphones and leaves. He was supposed to play 4 hrs, he played 3 hrs, I still believe the cdj had something to do with it. Tiesto was pretty pissed off when this happened, they did get the followup deejay up before his set, nearly an hour ahead of time.
^^^Man stop making stuff up, he played way more tracks after the cdj broke down. My buddy who is right beside me, even remembers Tiesto with that big grin on his face till the end of the night. Not his best set no, but the guy still played, and was into it. I was right near the front and remember very clearly. Your self proclaimed 'photographic memory' is slippin is it?
and as for your bashing him playing at the Olympics, Tiesto played for FREE, get it? stop saying all these big djs are money hungry.
How I am making stuff up?
It's how I remember it...my memory must be slipping in my old age.

Man, I just had the weirdest trippy image. It was Orko of He-Man fame combined with DJ Paul Oakenfold to form...
Orkenfold
And he was very displeased with Prince Adam not paying attention to his lessons on the turntables, so he... stormed off.
If DJs were gymnasts, who would an equivalent to Svetlana Khorkina be? She is well-known, besides her artistic ability, for her storminess.
Well, first of all, there is a lot of us who are deejays in here, and surely you had a night when just nothing goes the way you would like.
Put yourself in "their" shoes. I for one would be furious if i come to a club to perform in front of let's say 2500 people and the equipment that should perform well gives me a hard time.
And one story about a DJ most of you hate.
Few years back, Johan Gielen performed at a club. Half an hour or so after the start of his gig, his face changes and he THROWS UP on the equipment. Geez!
It took about 25 minutes to clean up the decks and the mixer, but as a true professional, he returned to the stage and finished his performance LIKE A TRUE PROFESSIONAL.
Also that story about Sasha playing 2 hours more...those are the type of DJs i like
Tiesto threw up in the booth after his gig @ Cream, a few years back. The guy coming on after him was apparently drunker than Tijs, which was Guy Ornadel, who claimed he threw up halfway to the club.

The source of the story never said what his vomit hit tho. He canned an entire bottle of vodka.

| Originally posted by bktballer Has anyone experienced a DJ just walking off in the middle of a set? This past weekend I went to see Yoji Biomehanika spin at Tokyo's Velfarre for his CD release. Lab4 was there and worked a bangin set, then Yoji steps up. He plays for about an hour or so when all of a sudden he starts pointing angrily to one of his monitor speakers. After a few minutes of this he just pushes the speaker over, flips off the record, and walks out. At first I thought this might have been an act but then i see a bunch of sound guys run on the stage to try and fix the problem. After about 10 minutes of NO MUSIC, Yoji comes back out, he goes for about another 30mins and again points to the speakers, and again he walks off for about 5mins. Finally, he comes back out and finshes the last hour and half, but you can visably tell he is pissed and just going thru the motions. At exactly the time the show was to finish, he puts on a loop and walks straight out.Anybody have something similiar happen to them?? |

HAHAHA any other stories of DJs throwing up?
If I was in their shoes, I'd probably be doing the same thing too hehe.
Anyways, earlier in the year, Tiesto came down to Sydney for a gig. He had so much fun that he kept on playing for about an hour and did not want to stop. Then @ about 6:15am, there was supposedly some sort of commotion happening in the DJ booth which involved Tiesto, his manager and the DJ that was supposed to be on after him. I was there but pretty far back so I didnt have a good view. There have been so many stories and debates on what really happened but what did happen was Tiesto's Adagio being suddenly stopped half way.
Sources say he got pissed and stormed off.

Nickleback (not a DJ, but a performing artist nonetheless) were in portugal and they were on their second song and they kept on getting rocks and food thrown at them.
then the lead singer got on the mic "are there any Nickleback fans in portugal?" then he throws his glass of water in the crowd and walks off the stage showing the finger.
i saw this video on the net and laughed continously for a long time, if i find it ill post it

while we are on teh subject of people behaving badly, radio 1 has put up a stream of Oasis's famous interview, where they made fun of everything, cursed like sailors and wanted to beat up the interviewers.
poor okey. Sounds like he lost the plot all right. I went to see Tsuyoshi Suzuki at a Vortex outdoor trance bash in 2001. Now you know these outdoor creatures, they like it full one psy all the way. Suzuki came and puched his new style banging trance (hard trance) and massive build ups. At the end of his set, the crowd was moaning that he was playing too much house. I was off my nelly and really enjoyed his set, so I went up behind the stage to catch a glimpse of this jap hero, and low and behold, some spaced out psy freak, plants a cream pie smack into tsuyoshis face! pooof!!...and then handed him a towel!! Needless to say, I guess its the last time I will see him in my town. Pitty, as he rocks...trance or house, whatever, the guy can mix.

| Originally posted by Trance Nutter I heard about this. What happened is that the next DJ (a local resident) was pissed as a mutha, came on and was trying to cue up his record while Tiesto was apparently blowing the roof off with Adagio. Tiesto got pissed at the drunk DJ who was getting in his way, just ripped Adagio off the TT, pointed at the drunk DJ and left. The DJ didn't even realise! I don't blame Tiesto in this example - I probably woulda punched the wanker out. |
