on the bright side of Le Arse (and England fans)

Theo Walcott took off his diapers today. He did well to score both goals, unlike the rest of the squad that missed their chance to put it away.

I was going to watch this game at the pub with a group of mates who are gooners, but I was too hungover to bother. Missed the tackle I remember Taylor was a hero when Birmingham loaned him too us. I feel sorry for Eduardo and I hope he gets his career back on track after this.

The FA needs to be harsh on these type of challenges I've noticed them sneaking back into the game a lot more this season. four game ban and a weeks wages isn't enough in all honesty. However Wengers opinion that Taylor should be banned for life is wellover the top.

Gallas , I feel you homie.

p.s. I wish Eduardo the best, that was just gross

Gallas looked furious. When they got the penalty he just walked to the half way line then started booting an advertisment board, shouting at Birmingham fans, when McFadden scored.

Yeah, I know, I watched the whole match, it was terrible.

Poor Gallas ended up in tears.

Stupid mistake by Clichy, stupid mistake.

Walcott did really well...all that for nothing, however.

We're only leading by 3 points. Damn Man Utd won 5-1 against Newcastle.

Kudos to Eduardo, poor guy. Hope he gets well soon...I can't believe it, he broke his leg. Damnn.

On a serious note, I really hope he gets well soon

Also, Wenger has just said he apologies for his comments towards taylor. See arsenal's website for more info. Speaking of the website, report tells Clichy won the ball cleanly ,I didn't watch the game so I don't know if it's accurate ...?

From the Guardian Unlimited:

Clichy inexplicably stops dead with the ball sitting still in Arsenal's area. Parnaby pounces and is upended by the French full back!

It was definitely a penalty. I was watching this online and just laughed hysterically when I saw this, and celebrated when McFadden converted the penalty.

edit: Actually it wasn't. Clichy got to the ball first, and then upended the Birmingham player. Hooray for replay!

FUCK!!!!!

Our EURO chances are fucking ruined. Fuck you Taylor, regardless of if it was malicious or not, DIE IN A FUCKING FIRE!!!

Posted by Castaway on Feb-24-2008 02:36:

^ Amen.

Posted by verndogs on Mar-01-2008 16:57:

Bah

Arsenal lucky to get that point that they didn't deserve.

Posted by Castaway on Mar-02-2008 23:58:

correction: did

The competition is much more heated now, of course.

lol @ John Terry, thinking that Chelsea can catch up, hoping that Man U and Arsenal will "slip"

Not really. Aston Villa played better than Arsenal for most of the game. Arsenal played with its head up its ass until the last 5-6 minutes. The only bright spot for Arsenal on Saturday was that Walcott is starting to reach his potential.

If there was a game that Arsenal was the better side but didn't get all the points they deserve, that would have been the game last week @ Birmingham City

Posted by Castaway on Mar-07-2008 04:18:

psssh yeah yeah

Arsenal 2 AC Milan 0

Quit being so fucking negative and get a grip. Don't just rely on one player Croatia actually have a fairly decent squad your most certainly not the favourites but you can have decent tournament regardless.

Hey guys, thought I'd visit the OAT (offish Arsenal Tread) and see how much you guys are anticipating the 3games with Liverpool, and what you all think about it.
I'll will be watching all three matches with friends, this kind of sporting event doesn't happen often at all and I think we'll see players react differently because of the fact its three in a row so close together.
I think the second two games will be affected by who wins the first, and I hope that we can see some good football.
Having to psych themselves up and focus on three games will be unusual and I hope we see some events that can make both clubs proud to be where they are, at the tops of europes elite.

And I sure hope that either of us that get through to the Semi's of the CL get to crush Barcelona in the Final, as I really hate henry.

Interesting, who do you support?

Posted by Saka on Mar-25-2008 21:18:

Obviously thousands or Arsenal fans out there chatting about their team.
Anyone care to talk?
It's like trying to get an interview with bin laden arranged.

Posted by verndogs on Mar-26-2008 03:19:

I hope Liverpool beats Arsenal in the Premiership game.

As for the CL game, I'll enjoy making fun of the loser

heh, I don't support any one...
I want Yossi Benayoun to be good at Liverpool, and Avram to win something with Cheslki so my national pride won't hurt, but I really hate the Prem and the English football...

I might not be able to remember properly, but what was the outcome of the Arsenal - Chelsea match? Where are Arsenal in the Premier League standings?

Classic opportunism here

The match today was brilliant.

Arsenal came back from 2-0 down to Bolton at the Reebok Stadium.

3-2 to Arsenal.

Amazing stuff.
