-- Has TA become a huge Self-Promotion site rather than a message board ?

it seems like everyone just wants to throw in their 2 cents without elaborating on anything. Swamper needs to take away the post count all together, theres still kids that post just to post.

I agree with many things about promoting for instance or definitely, the "OMFG, i die..." or "Why people love Tiesto ?" or "Why sasha is the number one DJ ?"...
As many i've noticed the rising number of useless threads, we seen them all before.
So' i won't try to give any solutions (I.E the creation of more dedicated sections) to improve this forum.
I just see one thing or two. All those who posted in this thread are more or less three years old on TA, mostly here from the begining.
And TA is living a cycle of life.
Once, we were a family, with few ppl, but relatives, cos' we used to know very well each others.
Then we had to go to high school, more ppl, more subjects, more projects, still the family, but many more mates, known and unknown.
Then the college, too many ppl to know all of them.
Then corporate life. Many more unknown ppl, many old friends lost, continuing their life in or out from the forum life, many more not knowing rules or the old TA spirit, and many to be brought up to a decent state of knowledge of this trance culture. But also( good news
), many more talented people than ever, constituing the new wave.
What can be done to that ? I guess i'm just living in the state of grand parents, just looking and enjoying the life of new generations... (not always enjoyable, ok, right, sometimes, indeed).
I guess that many of frenetic posters that used to push this damn F5 key are now quiet and no more insane about giving their very last opinion about anything related to trance.
Dats life.
Trance used to be a very small island and we were his kind refugees. Now, what we've prayed for years: His knowledge all around the world has come. And, now, we're living on a continent full of more or less addict people to trance. From pretty much private, it went public...
May you want to clean up the room, i have always notice that there is more mess in a train station, than in my own room (Ok, yes, it is not always true; my room is disaster).
So, take a look from the beginning, remember the good old days, check the roadmap of this magik journey and enjoy where we are.
Anyway, just my thought.
