if you crank up the bpm it could pass as hardhouse. when this first came out it was played by shed loads of hardhouse djs (albeit the more chessier ones)

dj jean - the launch
was played alot by hard house djs when it first came out doesnt really make it proper hard house

never said it was proper hard house just that it can be played as part of a hard-house set. I may have got my wires crossed and be thinking of a different track but i think that Sandstorm was originally produced harder then they slowed it down for the "commercial market"

The only things trancey about it are the little breakdown synth stab things (playing on skipped 16ths) and the build-ups. The sounds are all techy, and the main rhythms are banging house... but faster.

Are you insane? Sandstorm is straight 140bpm, classic trance tempo. It's far too slow to be hard house. It's about as textbook anthem trance as it gets.
