DJ Shadow is more ideal for a 'concert-like' setting.

then you weren't at conversion on Friday!

I would love to hear Barbara (duh), Carl Cox, Monika Kruse, Miss Kittin, roy davis jr, Stacey Pullen, Speedy J, Mills...

who the heck is this DJ Shadow?

Posted by DigiNut on Oct-28-2004 22:52:

CAVE! I just thought of that, I think it would actually be perfect though because he's not a bigshot like Dave Clarke or Ken Ishii (read: fraction of the price), but is still awesome. Plus he's got that tribal + funky style that everybody seems to like at Boa.

And yeah, fuck Dave Clarke, he can suck a dick, damn cheapskate.

My sentiments exactly. Fuck him!

He's absolutely amazing, but more along the trip hop /hip hop / turntablist genre.

GU's don't even come close to what a live set would sound like, and chances are that you'll never find a good DT set because he doesn't let people record them.

Comparing DT's GU album to his live set is like comparing Sasha's Involver CD to what he would spin at a club, or even some of Sasha's wack remixes to what he actually throws done in a club.

Those days are long gone...shoulda been there at Twilo when they had residency, and if it's gonna be 10 hours, i'd hope Diggers get more time on the decks then Mr Columbia.

Their sounds can already be heard at Boa on a regular basis with residents spinning their productions on a regular basis. Just one listen to their Essential Mix from this year will convince you that these guys NEED to be heard, and witnessed at Boa no doubt. Sean Miller is a perfect complement to these guys, since they actually reminded me of him the first time I heard a mix from this duo.
