Let him ban gay marriage, I think that is a good thing (totally another topic) and I don't pay American Taxes, so funding the war in Iraq means nothing to me. So that's no score for you You have every right to voice your opinion but your opinion is tired and pathetic because you offer no reasons, you compare Bush to Hitler, yet you don't say anything about it. The bush election does not affect you directly, it affects you indirectly. Just as I thought, you don't have the balls, you talk a big game but you won't try to do anything about it, rather than bitch and whine on this forum. |

As much as I am for the rights of homosexuals, it seems a lot of liberals are forgetting that John Kerry was also against gay marriages.

Please take note world:
This is a President elected by Rural White and Southern White American voters.
The President made large efforts to get as many of these voters to support his religious agenda; which ironically has no solid relationship with the Christian faith. He kills people in a War which is not in accord with the Christian faith but proclaims his righteousness in his stand against gays.
That type of duplicity in religion ( which bares slim resemblance to Christianity) garners support from Southern American voters which also have a weird or misinformed understanding of Christianity .
The importance a religious movement for Bush was his strategy to convince stupid southern Americans what the true definition of religion and politics should be.
This was an important step because Southerns could be convinced what to believe in their religion. This was possible because with the lowest literacy rates in America ; Southerns rarely if ever read the bible. They rely on Evangelists to tell them what is right and wrong. They are sheep in this religious propaganda.
Thus Bush was clever not to mention to these same Southern voters how their own religion does not condemn his tax cuts, his disregard for the poor, and policies abroad.
The Bush brainwash for the south worked well on these idiots because obviously his entire economic policy was against their own interest. But his one issue on anti-gay marriage became the most important issue for them. They were convinced that they would rather live in poverty and stupidity than allows gays to have rights. But dont be surprised. These are the same white southern voters who believed blacks should not have rights either.
Please take note :
The entire North Eastern United States , California, Washington, Oregon, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota voted Kerry.
All Southern States voted bush too (exception for Ohio, Iowa, and Missouri which voted for Bush by slim margins).
Please put your anger to the Southern White Americans not all Americans. The problem and stupidity of America lies within this area of America.
Thank You
American Citizen
Here are the facts....
Did you know that the UN voted 150-3 to outlaw the security fence in Israel that has now saved 100s of Israeli lives from terrorist suicide bombers?
Did you know that the UN is comprised of 1/3 Arab nations who hate and want to destroy Israel, some of whom actively support terrorist rogues?
Did you know that Kerry made a point of saying that the US needs to appease the UN and 'pass the global test' to ensure they all like us?
That means Kerry would have been prepared to pander and appease the UN with the safety of the USA or of Israel as his bargaining chip in way that would have been perilous for the USA or for Israel . . . Bush would never do that and has not done that. He has been fully supportive of our military and of Israel over time, and for the first time in White House history compared to any other president in US history, he has reneged Arafat's terrorism and refused to meet with him...Arafat is a total thug--and any president who meets with and bargains with a killer is forsaking the safety of the US and that of Israel.
Those are the facts
Dave Piazza...I was referring to the southern, rural and freakishly religious people who voted for Bush. Please read the whole post. I actually referred to people who voted for Kerry as those who have common sense.
And Shakka...all you're doing is trying to disprove my points with your own opinions. Especially about stem cell research...it is a fairly new concept genius.
And JM...yes, Torontotrance owns me.
You should hear what he has to say about you good ole boys when it comes to hockey...specifically the American juniors beating Canada last January. Yeah, you'd really love him.
But anyway folks...I have essays to write. I'm quite passionate about politics and it's good to have opinions. If I were an American, I'd be a lot more pissed off than I am right now. Your country is in for a rough 4 years, both on the domestic and international fronts. There are no signs the economy is getting better. The bodies in Iraq are going to pile up...the US military is so stressed right now that if you look at the situation, a draft might be necessary. It's too bad so few of you have learned from Vietnam.

At least there's one benefit from this: Bush will be totally at fault for when people begin to wake up and see Iraq is not going to work out. If Kerry won, he would have the burden and obviously be blamed for the problems that will persist. However, Bush started the situation in Iraq and he has to now finish it, or else history books will write him down as a failure.

Smitty, when will you accept that you are just a jilted Canadian, with an opinion that no one gives two shits about because you could not vote and did not vote in the American election. If you really wanted to put your money where your mouth is, which I doubt you would, then you would move to the USA and actually attempt to do something for the country. Look at Arnold, not American born but at least he is trying to do something good for the country. |
