Well written. To the point and substantive.

I wasn't impressed by it when it came out, nor am i impressed now. I don't think it is particularly special.

Should he do it? Sure why not. I'm sure he has bills to pay and there is a throng of eager consumers ready to buy it.

i hope "for a revolt" is on it. I have gr8 memories of that tune live. my own production skills r STILL not good enough for me to make that booty myself

Posted by E.Sv on Dec-08-2004 11:23:

yes, but only in case it contains not just his recent reworks and vandit releases.

dude...you have got to think just a liiiitle bit outside the box

Posted by CrasherKid on Dec-09-2004 21:30:

Yeh thinking outside the box is good, I liked Involver because it was different, trying some new things out, rather than going the same route, album after album.

Paul Van dyk said he would do another POD in 2005. I remember him saying this in the interview he did @ Casino.

It would be interesting to see what Paul Van Dyk will do this time around. Will it be trancy? Prog? Techy?

Paul Van Dyk is a genius and I would expect him to move dance music in a different direction in the new POD.

I eagerly await this release as a fan of PVD and a fan of good dance music.

I loved invloved not so much because it was differnent but because it presented beautiful music. One can be different but be shit. Involver was different but beautiful. The music could move a dance floor but also set new standard.

i'd expect a LOT more techy stuff than in P.O.D1, and i just know i'm gona LOVE it! no other DJ ive heard has a taste in music so close to my own

hero.

I honestly think that listening to Sasha or real Progressive music not MCProgressive is a taste you develope over time.

I too once thought prog was boring. and limited myself to MCProg shit. But than I dicovered artists that made it interesting and created the same energy trance could provide.

Listen to :

Ulrich Schnauss On My Own (Sasha Remix)

Spooky - Belong (Sasha Remix)

Listen to the beauty of these tunes.

The Love Parade problem that caused PVD to name the album "POD" still exists.

I was thnkning that too.

I don't follow PVD to closely to try to go into his mind but I wish Lushinmeee was here to opine on it because he had a really good understadning of PVD and would be the best person to try to take us into what he might do.

I would say something like

1-2 new pvd tracks (avid city)?
Second Sun - Love Stimulator
Nu Nrg - Free Fall
DJ Danjo & Rob Styles - Duende (Signum Mix)
Wolfsheim - Wundervoll (Blank & Jones Remix) [Paul van Dyk Rework]
Josh Gabriel - Alive (PvD edit)
Airscape - Sosei (F&W Remix) [Paul van Dyk Rework]
Drax Ltd. - Amphetamine (Paul van Dyk Rework)
Kuffdam & Plant - Summer Dream (Paul van Dyk Remix)
Amiel - Love Song (Scumfrog Club Mix)
Active Sight - (pvd edit)
Modulation - Spirits (Slusnik Luna Remix)
Secret Cinema - Timeless Altitude (Paul van Dyk Remix)
Aalto - Rush (Super 8 Remix)
Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams (Ferry Corsten Remix)(paul van dyk edit)
Terry Bones vs. Fred Baker - Introspection (John Askew Remix) (Paul van Dyk Cut)

i doubt any tech trance

Posted by Dmatrox on Dec-10-2004 03:38:

Another "Out There And Back" would be amazing.

Interesting tracklist sandstorm, it would be pretty cool if he did an album with those tracks, but i think another album with all original material like OTAB would be better.

^why? the majority of stuff he plays now i'd say is more tech house / tech trance than "straightforward" trance. I'd put money on the new CD reflecting this.

paul has always had his odd techy wierd tracks since the mid 90's. He has never put them into a comp...the onyl real techy track on tpod was connecter - interference...

i think paul will have "electric" house disk 1, and melodic trancier stuff disk 2. Just like tpod 1.

im not expecting to see anything like sam sharp stuff...i think the only techy rework hes really made the past fiew months was asys - no more fuckin rock and roll, and i highhhhhhhhhhhhhhhly doubt it will be on a mix cd.

if there is even going to be a mix cd in the first place
