here in the UK, we had a terrorist problem with the IRA for decades. we had people being blown up while they were out shopping in a city nowhere even near northern ireland. my parents used to live in birmingham, and there was a time when they were actually SCARED to go out shopping. they even assasinated the prime minister's husband.

did you see the british military going around bulldozing houses? building illegal walls? shooting children in school? purposely killing foreign journalists who are quite clearly marked "PRESS"?

i know the whole palestine thing is a much bigger kettle of fish, but my point is that a STATE should not run around acting like terrorists. is there any wonder children are blowing themselves up? i don't think it takes much brainwashig, their parents were probably victims of sharons last attack.

i dont condone any terrorist actions, and i think that it is disgusting that they use children to such an extent, but i just wish that people would look at the other side of the coin for a minute and realise that its not just the palestinians to blame for all the violence. the israelis are, afterall, an occupying force, and with arial sharon in power they are just as bad as hamas.

I love how this guy amassed millions of dollars while his country went to shit and everyone thinks he is a saint. He was a money hungry pig and did nothing for any peace process ever, except put the blame entirely on Israel.

No Sympathy for the Devil

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/mai...7/25/wmid25.xml - yeah, he really cares for his people.

Looks like the Israelis will be taking over more land

Seriously why don't people ever analyze what the Israelis are doing?

But hey that type of analysis would be anti-Semitic wouldn't it

the irony, being that the most persecuted race of people in the history of mankind has turned the tables on a weaker people, is almost too much.

its the israeli government that are the terrorists, arial sharon should be the one you are cursing. that man truly is a cunt.

it comes to something when palestinian children get shot while they are sat in a school room.

I am glad to see someone in this world realize who the real terrorists are.

But lets not forget the pro-Israeli American government. As a result of their support of Israel has created more enemies than friends in this world.

Its time America stop its duplicity in foreign policy when it comes time to judge Israel.

What I noticed when I was in Europe for my studies was how unbiased the global news was.

Here in American, that type of neutral media is not present. Draw your own conclusions why As a result Americans don't see both sides of the story in the Israel/Palestine conflict. Americans have never fully understood the real problem[s] and leave the issue to be resolved by the American political machine. Again draw your own conclusions between the American political machine and Israel

The American political machine hopes to keeps its citizens stupid and uniformed so that it can do whatever it pleases.

Its time Americans wise up; enough of the stupidity.

But wait, didn't America re-elect Bush for a second term

FYI:

Guess what country has the most UN violations?

Not Iraq. But our persecuted friend Israel .

it feels good to see there are still some americans with good sense

There is alot of evidence that points he was responsible for civilian deaths in his crusade to free palestine. I dont think its right how he went about things, but his intentions were to be respected. He gave palestinians a voice internationally as their homeland was taken over by greedy zionists.

I think i would become an Arafat if my house was bulldozed, six of my cousins were shot and killed, my neighborhood was destroyed and riddled with bullets, my uncles olive orchard was uprooted and stolen, i had to wait 14 hours at a check point just to go to work, 18 year old IDF soldiers forcing me to strip naked infront of everyone,i had to skip meals while settlers were BBQ'ing steaks, had to skip showers becuase water designated for palestinians was routed to Israel, watch my sister cry as my brother is in jail for the past 4 months becuase he was thrwoing rocks, and see my grandfather forced to kiss a donkeys ass infront of Jewish american students visiting isreal for free on a "birth right" trip.

The actions of israel are FAAAAAAR more dispicable compared to the ill-equiped guerilla style tactics the palestinians use.

The propaganda machine does well at defining terrorism - exclusively executed by arabs with bombs strapped to their chest. give me a break

I cannot wait for the day Sharon dies....now theres a real terrorist!

P.S I piss on Reagans grave

Anyone who celebrates the death of any other human, or would desecrate their grave is pretty stupid, especially when those people had no direct effect on you. Work on fixing your own life first.

What if these people have created the graves of millions of other people?

http://www.honestreporting.com/m/legacy.asp

yay propaganda - its my favourtie, but the truth is there.

Cyrus, what kinda of army could you build with 300 million dollars? probably a decent one, but instead arafat kept the money for himself and let the guerilla tactics be the face of all arabs.

as for your reasons for welcoming Arafat, well the same could be said for the israeli side. Its such a stupid arguement. If someone blows up my friends at a club, on a bus, etc, forget them and their families. I could care less what happens and its vice versa. It will never end. I dont justify actions on either parts. But I wonder was Rabin as shitty as Arafat was? No, Rabin was for peace and Arafat rode that bicycle as far as he could. Im sure he made himself a shitload more money during that time.

Arafat was garbage, Sharon is an idiot. That area of the world is in big trouble for a long time. I like to think that its the people outside of that area that can make a difference, by living in harmony with one another, but Jewish hatred seems to fly all over the world. I know there are a lot of people - mainly americans who hate muslims, but there are far more antisemetics purely on numbers. So its hard for me to be concerened/sympathetic about arabs when the majority of them (billions) want to kill the Jews (millions).

It is not your place to judge, nor to celebrate death.

What a great post.

But I sense a pro-Israeli might come into this thread and explain the plight of the Jew and help us understand the morality of killing a 12 year old Palestine boy with a Israeli military tank because he throw a rock at a solider.

The African Americans were also persecuted like the Jews. But I dont see America giving this group the same treatment or political leverage.

But wait, not giving an Israeli the benefit-of-the doubt in this debate is anti-Semitic

As the president Bush once said

 Thank God for the internets

This thread is depressing.

It becomes more and more apparent that all those complaining about how the state of the world and nation is fucked are the very ones fucking things up.

Would have never happened if it wasn't for the "liberation" groups such as Hamas, IJ, and others. It wasn't always this bad, and in fact in the mid 90s there was relative peace until as I recall a bomb on a bus threw the entire process out. As far as I am concerned they create their own problems. There can't be retraint on the Israeli side while the palestinians throw a sign of peace with one hand while having their other hand behind their back on a detonator. Peace doesn't work this way.

Posted by Ian on Nov-11-2004 17:28:

I'm not sorry he's dead, the problems in israel were deadlocked and it needs both sides to sort things out. Unfortunately with the muslim vs other religion in other countries, it really doesn't work well, if they accepted other faiths where the people would respect theres also, we wouldn't have them all, but we have them all brainwashing people that all of us 'western' people are bad and that it's a holy war. If everyone got on it'd be fine, but like in India and other countries with mixed religions (even in the uk now) there is a lot of terror & problems caused by the muslims who refuse to accept others. It's a real shame but what can we do

If Israel wanted peace this terrorist act shouldn't have changed anything. Again, you fail to see what the true goal is for the Israeli government lead by Fat Jew Sharon; Zionism not peace.

So 1 bomb that killed 15 people gives reason for Israel to persecute an entire Palestine people If this rationale isn't making the problem worse than than call me anti-semetic

That is what is so ironic. A people so familiar with persecution use it against others.
