I strongly disagree with your statement about David Stern. I've actually had the pleasure of hearing him speak when he visited my university nearly 2 years ago while I was still an undergrad. He's a smart and intelligent man who truly cares about the NBA and is more than capable of making the right decisions.

David Stern is the best commisioner in sports. Tagliabue and Selig don't seem to care about their sports and rarely get involved.

Don't you guys notice that he only caters to the big name players and teams. He's more worried about marketing then the game. Have you seen how the TV numbers have gone down? Have you seen how the attendance has gone down? IMO he is a horrible commissioner. He doesn't treat all the situations fairly. He protects his stars and deals with so-called problems in an unfair manner.
You can ask most basketball fans and they don't like Stern, which is why he gets booed at most arenas he visits.
I respect your guys opinions, but I whole-heartedly disagree. A party will be thrown in my house the day he quits or gets fired, which should be next year when there is a lockout.
With a league full of thugs and punks, I'm surprised shit like this doesn't happen more often. The players know they are not allowed to go into the stands for any reason at all. The fact that Artest ran into the stands, and started wailing on the first guy he could get his hands proves he has no place in the NBA.
Part of their job is putting up with the crowd. If he can't do that, he doesn't belong there. He is a disgrace to the Pacers, and a disgrace to my city, and I want his ass out of the NBA for good. Jackson can go with him.
I actually wouldn't mind seeing all the thugs on all the teams gone no matter how good they are. Might actually make pro ball worth watching again.
as much as I love watching the NBA
College basketball > NBA
I agree with that. I would so much rather watch college ball.

At the college level, the fans are much more into it than at the NBA level. Sing song chants are a part or just about every college b-all game. 3. There is nothing like March Madness |
.... haha just kidding

i don't know what you guys are complaining about with bad teams .. we here have the new orleans hornets .. we suck!! .. i was upset on the first second when i heard the charlotte bobcats were going to be the new expansion team .. because i knew the hornets would be forced to move from east to west, and who doesn't want to move to the west .. the west are nothing but savaged beasts ready to eat you alive.. the golden state warriors or portland trail blazers (arguably the bad teams, but ahead of the hornets) have the opportunity to beat either indiana or detroit (best teams of the east)..

Stern should definetly do something cuz the west is only getting stronger whle the east in getting worse and worse. |

| Originally posted by itsTrueSonic i agree .. i think the nfl (for first time) did an excellent job with their division seperations by making the national and american conference, and having a north, south, east, and west divisions in each conference .. at least the nba would split the evil texas trio, and the double trouble california (lakers and sacramento).. and the florida duo (miami and orlando) |
haha yea Falcons in the west that was some shit
and the Arizona Cardinals used to be in the NFC EAST
guys remember the NFC has sucked this year and 8-8 maybe even an 7-9 team might make the playoffs. The NFC and the NBA eastern confrence are just going through a phase right now, they both ruled the leagues in the 90s.

| Originally posted by itsTrueSonic ditto.. the nfc looks bright with philadelphia in the next couple of years, and detroit, arizona, minnesota, new orleans ( if they can ever get themselves straight), and possibly new york in the nfc for the next 3 or 4 years if they keep their teams intact . the afc looks good, but will grow old in two years .. |
