What about wearing pink lipstick, wearing high heels and changing your name to Sandra on weekends...? Or is that just weird.......
^^
that's pretty much the same thing to me.
although here in TX, it doesn't take much to be Metro.
unless i am going around, with a faded look, a couple of Tatoos
a SOUTH SIDE t shirt, and a pissed off look. the rest of the hispanic community consider me metro.
I fit some of the criteria and others I do not.
I like to dress nice when I go out, but I also dress casually at times. I don't need to buy the most up to date clothes, I just want clothes that look good.
I can cook a bit, and like red wine (can pick decent wines, usually). My mom's an interior designer, which has rubbed off on me a bit, but I'm not exactly going into the business.
I get my hair cut and colored at the salon and use pomade in my hair daily.
I live in the city, I do well with the women, but I wouldn't know whether I make other men jealous or not.
I do not read men's magazines or any magazines, for the most part, but when I do read magazines it is usually Maxim or Stuff.
I probably qualify on the overall though.
i don't really like metrosexuals...at least not the extreme ones. a friend of mine is friends with this attorney who gets his eyebrows waxed and manicures, and he's also had that hair transplant surgery because he's only like 29 and he was balding pretty bad. his hair actually looks awesome now, i was surprised. but anyway he's always impeccably dressed and always smells great, but it's kind of intimidating to be around such a froo froo guy because i feel like he's probably picking apart every flaw when he looks at me.
anyway, my boyfriend has some traits of a metro...he gets his hair cut at this girly salon (the one i go to) and spends lots of money on hair products...he's even had highlights put in his hair. i gave him shit for that. he also is really into mens fashion and likes to get new clothes all the time. but he makes up for it all by sitting on the couch watching sports almost every night with either a beer or a dip in his mouth, occasionally scratching his balls and burping. he's so sexy
i like guy's guys.
I think I should join the alliance.
I just went to the tanning salon yesterday... if that isnt metro, than I dont know what is.
yea that's pretty metro. by the way, you really shouldn't go to those. just one time increases your chance for skin cancer by 7%. it's just not worth it...and you'll look young and feel great when you're in your late 30's and older since you won't have that weathered skin. the sun is so bad for you if you constantly lay out and tan, and go to tanning salons. just sport your pale skin.
Its a rare thing when I go to a 'fake n bake', and in the summer once I have a base tan, I go once a week (if even that) just to keep it up.
what are your thoughts on liquid tans?

i said the extreme ones. i can tolerate a metro, as long as he is just as much "guy" as he is metro...a nice balance is good.
*fart*
excuse me

nice try
you shouldn't say "excuse me". you should be like, "mmm, c'mere get a wiff of THIS one".
jk, my bf isn't that bad
i just opt for beating my women...that is my manly side hehehe
as for me in a real life situations i hate all that guys' stuff like fartin or burpin in public (mens' society of coz)...even if there r only guys around why belch is funny thing to do???
i hate that shit...dunno if i can called extreme metro but thats what i am...
i have some female friends that are a little too comfortable burping in front of other people...frankly i find it pretty disgusting
burping isnt bad. i burp in front of my boyfriend...not all the time though. farting is another story. i don't plan on ever purposely farting around anyone. i don't even fart in front of my mom. i guess i was just raised that way.

the only person that i purposely burp really loud in front of is my dad. i do it on the phone with him too when he's talking. lol every time i do it he's like, "oh that's real lady like, i'm glad i did such a nice job raising such a lovely young lady".
coming from my dad who taught me how to "hock a loogey" when i was 10.
