its done me well so far no serious complaints

Nice setups... I only just started so I got nothin 2 show as yet... but I just bought a Pioneer DJM-600 on ebay the other day... should get it in da mail soon... I started collecting records only bout 4 months ago while travelling bought my 1st vinyls in Switzerland after Street Parade & Energy, from Dave Joy.. he was working in the record shop and was real friendly... he was at Nature One a week B4 when I was there too (wierd??)Next bought much dreamed of Kai Tracid album in Munich, Germany and other classics like RBA-No Alternative!! NE way so I got over 60 now. The net is ace for getting vinyl...Australia is too expensive and don't have much older stock. Next I want turntables Technics of corse... can NE One tell me is the mk5s much better?? Does it make that much of a differece having the pitch control so it doesn't 'click' in the centre? Do you really need it that precise?? Also I was wondering a cool effect is people slow the decks to a constant then speed them up my using the start/stop... Do you need the mk5 ajustable stop speed for this or is it just as easy with a standard 1200?? Sorry bout the newbie questions just I need to decide on 1200s/1210s or spend more on the MK5s/M5Gs...
Eventually I wanna get 3 tables and a sequencer and effects stuff (have no Idea as yet on exact models though maybe a Yamaha tr-303 and chaos pad??) eventually I wanna get more and more into making music and sic live remixes...

Here is me in my new studio.
just got my hands on the updates. one step closer now.
i need a usb cord from my comp to the mixer though..and i dont know where to find one that has the same extension to plug into the mixer, cos its not a normal usb. anyone have an idea??

yea it's a 303, i use it in my new track...
my room setup isnt much of a dj setup... moreso a lazy nerd setup... i am currently looking at 4 empty bottles of (what was delicious) red wine, 2 empty cans of woodstock & coke, and an empty bottle of champagne
oh and 2 monitors, 1 tv, 2 tower speakers, 2 computers/keyboards/mice and an amp
3.5 metres of deskspace = teh rock.

Yo I can tell ya a story on budget sound proofing... I was told that back at the Dept of Agriculture when my old man was there, that was before they sold it to a private university...anyway they made a recording studio you know all plain concrete walls any way not sure what happend but the their budget ran out and they couldn't pay to have the proper sound insulation installed... (I don't know Governmet departments need I say more) anyway they couldn't just use it as it was becuase the accoustics of the plain walls made it shit... and so they had a shitload of new egg cartons lying around(remember its department of agriculture and they got quite a few chickens!) and no joke they glued them all in next to each other and covered all the walls... From what I was told it actually worked really quite well accustically just looked a litte funny... 
Maybe you can restyle your studio walls with the new and improved ultra povo egg carton look?!?

at my work in the studio we have that stuff all over the walls.
