i dont understand why people would say thier boring, their remix are full of energy. do they not play any of thier remixes? i love thier remix and are def. my top producers, im really looking forward to the night...just hope they play their remixes. when an artist has so many remixes you expect to hear them...kinda why u go to a concert to see the people play the songs they made...i def cant wait for the night!

Good point. I happen to like everything by G&D I have. Playing one now i found somewhere. Bloom CD 1&2 seem to be a nice mix of chill, trance , etc.

I may have to try to get someone to drive from Madtown to this with me..

If the 2-2-05 Frequency 061 Guest mix is any indication, the 26th will be one hell of a night!

Viva G&D!

That "Swing 2 Harmony" remix is one of the greatest things I've ever heard...

Now if I could only get my hands on ANY copy of that track... at this point I'd probably pay more for that record than any sane person should...

Cheers,

RJT

I gotta say, I usually agree with you, but by random coincidence I happened to be listening to what I consider G&D's only "failure" whilst on the boards this morning:

Motorcycle - As the rush comes (G&D Chillout Mix)

For some reason this one REALLY annoys me, I just don't like it...

But that doesn't mean I'm here to get the "G&D suck and we play lame music" business Dave was trying to get going in here earlier

Cheers,

RJT

Good news on the EM. I just found out that my neighbor had some of my mail from last month delivered to his place, so since I had a nice check I didn't know I had, I can definitely add this show to my list, along with that new announcement of Seaman & Chable.

im actually really liking one of g&d's newest remixes (rachael starr)

*shock* *awe*

ozgur can's remix of arcadia is nice too.

Not that it really matters, but for some reason, I hope they play Starkid - Crayons (Leama & Moor Remix). I really like that track and I have yet to hear it live. The track seems to be like they're style of sets, but I guess we'll see.

I think what Phanta was trying to say is Gabriel & Dresden usually drop well-known tracks that almost everyone can recognize and identify. For others, their track selection includes fresh, but unrecognizable tracks that we're always guessing and don't know off hand. Then, surprisingly, we know a track and we go nuts. Phanta just meant we're most likely to hear those kind of tunes we will recognize right away.

Or, er, you were being sarcastic.

you are correct - if you want to do a meet-up, you organize it. i'm done organizing the meet-ups.

saw g&d recently in san fran - i might actually go to this gig, b/c they were much better than expected and i haven't been to vision since mazi/tripwire in jan - i'm starting to have the shakes.

Posted by Zilax on Feb-17-2005 02:21:

I'd go to a meet up. It'd be a first, outside the venue.

i know some guys who work for reload..they told me the time for G+D. i figured in a 4 hour set they will def. have time to drop all the new remixes...I HOPE! i wanna hear "ressurection", "swing 2 harmony", and "til there was you" on a loud ass system!
