Be Cool!

I heard rumors about Ferry in town in April? True?

Koolaid

Posted by DaveT on Mar-14-2005 20:19:

I have not heard anything, and it looks like Ferry's schedule is already filled up for other cities.

He was very close to playing in LA in mid-April, but he'll be up in Canada that weekend instead.

but they have a better checking system? i thought they were strict

Be Cool!

At ten15, they have a list of ID/names that they post on their door near the entrance. Not even sure if they check it or not or how old that list goes, but it sure is a long list...

The peeps at Ten15 are very good at detecting fakes.

With the 86 list on the door, I don't think I've seen it up there for quite a while, but yeah...the list is llllllllloonnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggg.

why's it called the 86 list?

Posted by DaveT on Mar-18-2005 01:27:

86ed is just slang to be kicked out and banned from a place. If you are 86ed at a place, you are banned from a place.

Many rumors as to the origin, but no one knows for sure. Everything from coffins being 8 feet long and buried 6 feet deep, to a NYC penal code 86 (at one time) meaning baring places from serving a certain individuals alcohol.

seaman
chable
cox
taylor
felix

anyone know if the crystal method show is live or dj set..i sure hope it will be live.....they aren't the greatest djs and their live set it nutzo

btw anyone here ever go to minna on wednesdays?...jondi & spesh are wicked dj's and there are like 400 people going off from 6-10 every wednesday...pretty qool happy hour thing

Posted by DaveT on Mar-22-2005 08:15:

1. Dave Seaman and Luke Chable are April 8th, not April 1/2
2. Crystal Method is a DJ set. Says right in my schedule there.
3. Yes, been to Qool Wednesdays at 111 Minna. My office is less than a block away. The crowd there is a bit too fake for my comfort, though. Have tons of scene friends who go there regularly, though.

I'm really excited about he up coming people especially Nu-Nrg.

Posted by exergo on Mar-23-2005 06:17:
