ya seriously guys - whats up with all the Glow defensiveness? Its OK if some people dont like it... and Im definitely one of those people who will never set foot there again. Even for Sasha, Pvd or any other Dj that I love. Id rather see them at clubs that I like ~ its a much more enjoyable experience...

Its ok to not like it....but to bash it is another thing. People sit here and say the system sucks blah blah the dance floor sucks blah blah. There are plenty of other clubs with horrible systems and I happen to think Glow has a good system. Please if you think the system sucks.....please tell me where all these wonderful clubs are with insane sound.....Ive been to them all....Crobar, Arc, Guvernment, Space.....its not that bad!!!

I think Avalon in Boston has the best sound system Ive heard since Phazon @ Twilo. Aria in Montreal is close too. Arc's was really good... but Im definitely not a fan of Glow's or Space's at all. I admit the sound system does have alot to do with it. Good music deserves to be played on an amazing sound system. And theres nothin worse than not being able to hear for 3 days afterwards....

the one thing i noticed at glow when i was there is that the sound was a little distorted. i found it difficult to discern melodies over the muddy bass. that was about it

i always just wear earplugs anyway so the hearing bit isn't much of a problem.

it always takes time for it to tweak right?

i'd visit glow @ fur again. i had an enjoyable time for armin, and fur itself definitely added to the experience.

I guess some peoples hearing is more sensitive than others. My ears never rang at all after leaving Glow. Actually the only club that did damage to my hearing was Avalon NYC. That system is pure trash.

I wore earplugs to Glow and my ears still hurt after I left. Their problem is that the idiots who use the main floor for hip-hop on Fridays fuck with the system and crank the bass up WAY too much and mess with the EQ's for a hip-hop setting. Then when Glow comes in on Saturday, they never bother to re-adjust the settings for prog/trance, so it sounds like ass. All bass and no mid-range + distorted levels = badddddddd.

i literally can't think of the last time i bitched about glow or fur. i think fur is great. are some of the people upstairs pretentious? yeah, but thats given in any big city. i had a blast at armin, deep dish, mike, and armin on halloween...and i haven't been to glow before that since ferry 2003 which rocked too. so no, your statement is inaccurate.
