I couldn't do it to myself. The first time I heard 'fly away' was a very long time ago at the icebox and I remember saying to Hugo who was standing next to me 'what the fuck is this shit? it sounds like something Dj Sammy would produce?".

Honestly I would consider going for a night of piss taking laughs, but the financial situation isn't too good at the moment. Maybe if we can get a support the Sid foundation I would rock up (jk) or if the 'mirror man' who has been on the receiving end of some very fine abuse from yours tuly (we know you love it joshy, anything to tickle those fancies) would throw me a free ticket, then I could rock up.

tony and baz: enough rifle talk, 'mirror man' is still recovering from his previous endeavours with "you can never take things too far" man Ruby. The last thing he needs at this moment is more talk about 'rifles'.

Yep that's the one .. it's also the same rifle that i pulled out of your father's gaping anus right before i spread your chocolate lovecanal and sodomised you, passing on whatever STD's and infections he had to you.

"it was really good"

recap...

Mirror Man 'Pushing the Boundaries'

Mirror Man gives s_madis free entry to A Night Of Trance so he can hear Fly Away

yes, it happened folks. can't wait for sid's review

*crash*

Posted by pinkhelmet on Mar-19-2005 03:24:

ive decided im only going to an event if armin plays or i get free entry - im officially sydney trance event jaded! and my ears hurt

cudnt believe how many ppl were there tho! way more than i expect.. and steve helstrip jumping round like a mad man heard that i missed synesthesia and automanual, bugga

Posted by eRRaTiK on Mar-19-2005 03:29:

yes, you are definitely jaded rach. not as jaded as lis or sid though haha

good to see you again. i think the bunch of us need to do some non-club activities

Helstrip...
Witness Of Wonder - Emotion In Motion (Thrillseekers Remix)
Above & Beyond Pres Tranquility Base - Surrender
Active Sight - The Search For Freedom
Jose Amnesia - The Eternal (right-click, save link as...)
Marco V - Automanual
The Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia (En Motion Mix)

M+J's set rocked! Was great to hear those magik 6 tunes out. Shame on the main room sound overpowering the lil room though. Missed some awesome buildups and to rely on my memory. Thank goodness I listened to the cd on the way to the club

Enjoyed what I saw of Cam's and Stama's set. Didn't see Dynamix. Josh + violinist was pretty interesting. Nice opening with her doing the strings for Adagio, but "fly away" OMG i could have killed myself with that cheesy vocal. then the violinist kicked in and I literally "flew away" btw josh, can you list the violin tracks? there was one i really liked (may have been the second or third track).

lots of sound issues in the venue. Lasers were awesome. Crowd size was larger than i expected which was awesome, and always great to catch the regulars out. Glad you made it tranceforma!!

well i wouldnt say im as jaded as sid as i do still like some trance

i had a good nite and was fun catching up with everyone, even tho i was pretty tired and my feet were killing by the end of the nite (will think twice about wearing heels to a club again!). i agree the sound was pretty bad, but didnt notice too much as i was wearing my new custom fit earplugs

steve's set was great, although did have a bit too many anthems and also enjoyed rob and diggs's set. dynamix was good to begin with until he started pulling out tracks like zombie nation and god music

we ended up seeing the start of josh's electric set... was quite err amusing hehe i'll let sid fill u all in on the details got a nice vid of "fly away", but is only short as that was our cue to leave lol.. will post later

he HAd 2.5 hours to work with so he was always going to pull out a few anthems.. For me it was on of the best sets i have heard in a long time!! but then i have never been dissapointed my any set by mr helpstrip!!

Posted by eRRaTiK on Mar-20-2005 00:11:

I liked his Intuition 008 (Live on ETN FM) 02-23 set as well as his exposure festival 2004 mix way better.

Too many vocal tracks at ANOT (I expected as much from Josh though). "Jump the next train" got people going I must admit, but i'm not a fan. I enjoyed it but I expected some fresh tunes or a progression like on the above mentioned sets.

Still, the anthems that I listed earlier =

Oh yeh man glad you where to enjoy The Eternal hey Anth. That was so out of the blue my jaw just dropped!! Oh and Dynamix dropping Clear Blue Water was very nice. Too bad about the french chick hey Anth

OMG!! Rach dosn't like trance anymore

hehehe

time to explore new sounds

Posted by Spang on Mar-21-2005 00:46:

I think she said something about really enjoying the darker side of drum and bass lately and gangstar rap also

Had a good night all up hanging with my non smiling, non dancing friends (you know who you are). lucky for me i was a bit drunk so i had fun anyway.

Glad the night was a success with quite a big crowd for the night so good stuff josh.

Thrilseekers was good but not as good as the last time at Gas. Different crowd i guess but a few awsome tracks in there and born slippy was a nice touch.

Loved the Magik 6 kind of set in the second room and finally heard Yahel- Voyage out. Ended the night well.
