Laughing at "ravers"??? What about people laughing at moshers,rappers?? They dont care, why shoulde we then? I have been to all kind of parties/events, and it's the only trance that deliveres such an euphorical atmosphere amongst the people, people even hug each other ( well, l try to pull the gilrs myself ...), smile and generally share the wonderful feelings!! Hands in the air?? It because music makes u do that, because of the vibes that it gives! You will never understand it because of your narrow-mindness...sory mate, don't mean to be harsh, but you don't go like that dissing stuff you don't want to understand,

hey if ur so interested.. Im 21. tranceaddict ins't only limited to trance discussion btw. read the little description under Music Discussion. When I first joined TA, I was interested in Trance, but since I've developed tastes for other genres. I have strong interest in Techno, but recently have developed more of an interest in electro/acid house. If you say I don't understand the thing about "trance", I was in a trance-loving pahse just like you for a while and probably have alot more experience than you do having been a trance DJ prior for 2 yrs.... but then I realized that there is so much better music out there.
You are the one being narrow-minded as I bet you have never even given any other EDM genre a chance. TA is for all EDM lovers and if it were only full of people like you, every other thread would become something about AvB or Tiesto which to be fair have been discussed over and over again...TA would be a very boring place...

a) I would say you were the one being narrowminded if you think the only reason someone likes trance is because they haven't heard any other edm genres.

b) Nearly every other thread already IS related to avb/tiesto.

c) TA IS a very boring place. Most of the time. The same arguments/halfwits keep on cropping up all the time. Boredom & force of habit are literally all that keep me coming back here sadly.

I have been a trance dj for 4 years, and been listening to trance for 6 years, so I do have experience. And I do not only listen to trance, I listen to house, progressive and techno, rock and indie. Trance is just the only music that gives me such good feeelings,whereas genres as techno or tribal are the genres you have to be really into to enjoy if know what I mean, techno or tribal are just not as emotional as trance and much darker and deeper.Trance is more beautiful if you like, you can express your feelings in the music,there is more soul to it.
And lm not trying to diss or put these genres down or to say that Trance is the best music genre in the world,no Im just saying that you dont go and call trance shit when it is not, and taking a piss because you think it is a clever thing to do.

I have litened to more music genres that you can think of, and it's just trance remains my favourite one, thats all it is. so, let's just agree on this,

who cares about how you look when you enjoy the music, and let yourself go (thats a point you're missing). You really have to relax, when i'm enjoying the music i don't think about the 16yo laughing at me in front of his computer... i don't give a s***, i just enjoy the music.
& the fact you don't like epic trance has nothing to do with that...

about what trance inspires me to do... to chill, watching beautiful landscapes or art graphics/paints.. and the energy makes me dance too of course.

exactly the same for me

the people around me used to direspect trance, when they saw the sight I had in my eyes while listenning to it they quit doing that and started to get interested by the genre.
