That's only one of the "Grasshopper" Cafes in Amsterdam. There is actually another (smaller) one just two blocks away from that one (across the street from "Bob's Youth Hostel"). That's the one I am named after...

was it easy to navigate around Amsterdam???? Cuz i'm def. thinking about going around Cannibus Cup time and didnt wanna spend loads of $$$ on trains and/or cabs etc..... I wanna be able to walk to and from the hotel. Let me know dude....

Well, the trams go almost everywhere. And run very frequently, except in the dead hours of the night, like after 1 or 2AM or so. I didn't have a hard time, and didn't get lost.


What DID suck was when I was heading to Centraal Station on the #5 tram, it stopped and was taken off duty because of an accident or something, so I had to WALK to Centraal the rest of the way, and I had a train AND a plane to catch.


Walking ain't bad, you can also rent a bike. Cabs are a bit expensive though. The trains to outside the city (Den Haag, Utrecht, etc.) aren't too bad but still much more pricey compared to the trams. I never tried the bus.

One thing's for sure, when I DO go back, I'll know my way around better than when I first got there.
