It's well known that you were a member of the POW ripping group, and are responsible for countless rips other than those found today on a quick search. It's amazing that you would attack the ripper of this when you have such strong 'scene' connections yourself.

Is it that you are upset that this group beat you to it?

wait right there, i'll go fetch the police

believe me, if we went on about the 'scene' there are lots of people who I know are involved, most of the names of which would surprise you if i mentioned them, but simcut had his time, people shared stuff he gave out, but so be it, its 4 years ago now, so people like cynical should just grow up like simon has done in that space of time

Grow up and move on ffs.

So what if he USED to be a member of a rip group, he is not now, back then MP3 did trance a favour, a lot of americans for example would not know trance if not for the mp3's out back then.
It has now gone full circle sadly where MP3 is damaging the scene but that is down to ever faster connections and 10 times more ppl using the web.

And i am sure that you yourself do not have a single illegal mp3 on your hard drive because you are so angelic

Sorry to hear that, Brisky...

Posted by Steven Hays on Mar-02-2005 02:07:

If I'm correct, every record Brisky has posted for award in here was already on the chemical website for sale that same day. It wasn't like there were only 5 copies and that was it. There were 5 FREE copies and the others who lost the competition had to pay the normal price.

However, this does suck for the one of a kind comp's Brisky did. I've one my share of them, well 2 times. So thanks again. But I don't think everyone should get into a panty bind over this. These songs will still be ripped when they're actually released.

a link to this should be in the 'ta doesnt support filesharing' thread. that way people know how shitty sharing mp3s can be and that it DOES actually affect others.

I still remember downloading Dune - Million Miles Away From Home in Dec '96 I think it was...

..except, it wasn't an MP3, it was an MP2

Feedback and Solution

Hi Everybody,

I have read the post and there are 2 types of mailouts that I do,

1.New records 1 of 5 tp's go out in the way of a competition, this is before they are available to buy.......I will have to stop this due to the ripping problem.

2.The other type of posts are records that are available to buy from the site, this I will continue with as it doesn't have any conflicting issues.......

I would never penalise the whole of Tranceaddict for anything as they are one of the main reasons the scene has been well supported globally, all I would say about Tranceaddict is that I have got the upmost respect for the company and long live Tranceaddict..

Thanks Brisky

The sad thing is that many people really could care less about buying things once they have them on MP3 though i would say the vast majority of people on TA who do play out the music actually use the vinyls that they have purchased frequently after downloading and listening to the tune.

Posted by benchristopher on Mar-03-2005 19:45:

It seems that the rip was from a CDR in fact that it's an internal 320 kbs rip and as stated in the info from this group, they got it directly from the label. However,

Horrible news... Sad that "these things" *can* ruin it for people...

Sucks that people have to ruin it for everyone else.

Word Of Advice: If you plan to give stuff away before release, you could always do it beforehand and after commercial releases mail them out.
