Sashas controller was designed for one purpose, and one purpose only.

To make the stupid punters think what sasha is doing is cool. Slab some shiny knobs, and lights into a box, and oh look at that, what sasha is doing is cool to the clubbers. Obviously it worked, because ever since he got this thing you guys wont hold back with the threads...he was doing the same thing like a year ago...he is just using a fancier looking thing now...everybody has used a mouse, and keyboard, but oh shit, look at all those knobs and buttons how amazing is that! It adds that false sense of "awe" right back into the whole djing thing.

Abelton is a great thing. I personally just dont think it is what should be choice for live use (despite what its name tells you)

I'm not in awe at the controller...imo the controller is just an easier way for him to use ableton, I'm in awe at the fact that he can mish mash tracks and play six songs at the same time while using elements from each together.

I still love a good vinyl and mixer set though, no question.

Trust me I love to see a DJ spin vinyl and cds, but adding an element where you can tweak tracks at your will and create literally a one time set everytime you play is something I find fascinating.

This is nothing Short of a live act.

i agree with you

I really love to see some innovative DJ'ing like ppl who use different equipments (hardware/software).. I don't really know how Ableton Live works but I think it's pretty interesting. Armin said he's using Ableton for ASOT 2005. I can't wait to see how he did
