i would definately take my (future)husbands name, my (future)kids would too. i just don't think it would be right if i kept my own.

I'm just happy my grandmother convinced my granddad to take her last name, and she of course kept hers. The kids got her last name too. Otherwise I'd end up with a pretty stupid last name.
My wife will not keep her surname
i like my name, it's part of my identity and I will always keep it. I don't want children so i won't answer the other question.
Just curious - what happens after a divorce ? Does the woman get her old last name back ?

id keep my last, i dont want kids so that answers that question. hypothetically speaking,,,, if i did have a kid,, the last name would depend, i think i have a pretty good last name... but if the person i marry has a nicer one then,, theyd get that one.

for the women
wouldn't it be nice for your son's kids to have your surname? (if you took the husbands name)
for me I'd prefer she takes mine, but the kids pretty muc hhave to

i dont understand these "modern" women
... you think you're so smart all of a sudden so you start changing the way something that has been done for all these years ... whats next, women wearing suits and men wearing wedding dresses at the weddings ... i find women keeping their last names ridiculous and complicated ... old fashion way or no way, for me at least
i see my serbian brothers and sisters think the same ... i am glad at least we wont have problems with this
My boyfriends last name is Lindsay, and that happens to be my first name !! So if we get married, I will defintily stay Linzie Fair.....and not Linzie Lindsay, lol.
