Not much of a future then....

IMHO, Gerrard is MUCH better than Rooney, and HE is the
present AND future

lampard is the present

Posted by TheVrk on Mar-14-2005 22:55:

I purposely didnt mention Lampard even tho i LOVE him
being a Chelsea supporter....
He IS the present with Gerrard, but Gerrard is a bit better.

you cant compare the two simply because they dont play the same position ... gerrard is a born leader so i think that gives him an edge over lampard

AND FOR FUCKS SAKE STOP MAKING A BIG DEAL OUT OF ROONEY NOT SCORING AGAINST AC MILAN ... NO BODY SCORES AGAINST AC MILAN ...i think they the most boring team to watch .. defend defend defend and score on the break ... more than half of their games are 1-0 or 0-0 .. u can play 11 strikers against them and theyd still win 1-0 .. fuking italian style of football ... inter milans the only team that provides some exitement in the serie A...

Posted by Bortsa on Mar-15-2005 00:06:

I totally agree with raveed, Italian teams are terrible to watch, i never ever watch serie A due to the fact that i will see 1 goal a game. I think the italians should wake up to the fact that brazil have won the world cup 5 times playing attacking football, not defending, and with players such as Totti, Del Piero and Cassano the italians have the players to play with flair. In conclusion, give me a game of La Liga or the Premiership anyday!

Posted by denys envy on Mar-15-2005 03:59:

it all depends on the players too!

I mean Spain plays a pretty offensive strategy and they aren't going anywhere either.

give him a couple more seasons before you judge. I still say he would have been better off staying with us at Everton.

right here goes...

quote:
before you belittle rooney keep in mind he was bought by ferguson... a man who rarely makes mistakes while signing players (except last year where he fuct up royally with chumba wumba and bellion ...

thats joke right? Ferguson rarely makes tranfer mistakes?! the ones you mentioned
- silvestere(cant cut it at the top level),
- hoawrd (oh and all the goalkeepers he has bought since schmichael)
- smith (what a waste of money for a bench warmer, he will be sold in the summer probaly)
- saha (as above, he wont get his game ahead of rooney and RVN)
- Ronaldo ( i will mention later)
- Kleberson (haha, 6 million ,oh dear)

the money he spend of saha and smith he should of bought a decent midfield cover for the two pensioners keane and scholes.

quote:
rooneys still a big game player and i think its unfair saying he cant score against ac milan cuz i dont know of many players who can since milan dont let go of the ball for anything and score mostly because of mistakes made by the opposition.

for 26 million he's expected to be a big game player and score goals against the like of Milan.

quote:
it appears to me everyone that bags Cristiano Ronaldo and Rooney are just jealous, because in Ronaldo and Rooney, United have 2 of the most exciting talents in world football.

ronaldo the most exciting talent in world football?!!

hes brutal. such a blouse aswell, when he doesnt get his way he cries and throws his toys out of his pram. For a winger hes got no corssing ability at all, whats the use in beating a player with fancy step over then delivering a shit cross? he not excactly a great passer either.

Decision making is terrible also. FErguson should of bought a winger with an ability to cross. Look at beckham, amazing crosser. didnt need to dribble past his player, because he could cross a great ball in anyway.

Ask RVN which who he would prefer on the team, its fairly obvious.

quote:
Imagine if these two were to go onto the transfer list, the mad scramble to sign them?!?!

there would be none, not by the top teams anyway. Possibly rooney. Chelsea and Arsenal wouldnt touch ronaldo with a barge poll. Even Liverpool wouldnt want him.

quote:
these two are and will be the best players in the world for the next 10 years, mark my words!

ARE?!! Have you ever watch ROnaldo play?! i really dont think you have.

quote:
AND FOR FUCKS SAKE STOP MAKING A BIG DEAL OUT OF ROONEY NOT SCORING AGAINST AC MILAN ... NO BODY SCORES AGAINST AC MILAN ...i think they the most boring team to watch .. defend defend defend and score on the break ...

Did you even watch the match at Old trafford?! judging by this comment you clearly didnt. They played United off the park and where a times better team in all department. Same at San siro.

Another impressively stupid comment here. DOnt comment on things you know shit about. YOu end up looking like a grade A plonker.

If you never watch Serie A how do you know will see 1 goal a game? thats complete bollox. Watch it, then you can comment on it.

Manchester united have scored 47 goals this season, same as Milan. Juventus have scored 46. SO much for always 1-0 matchs then ey? Also, united have played a game extra.

Chelsea have scored 54, and inter have scored 50. Again, hardly a huge difference. Arsenal have scored 67, but there defense is terrible. A real football supporter doesnt really care how there team win, once they win.

Also, There are 3 Serie A teams i nthe quarters of CL, all with a good chance of winning with Inter being the least favourite.

England have 2, with only chelsea having a serious chance.

how many La ligan teams left again? yep none. I think it time La liga and EPL woke up to that fact.

Thatta boy!!! I knew someone else knew SOMETHING....
Typical ManU fan - closed-minded, thinking with their HEARTS
and not their heads

PS. Raveed: LOL, glad u notice my posts/sig
Rooney's not 0.5% of Armin however

For good measure:
ARMIN..... the CHOSEN One

Posted by jcosgrove on Mar-15-2005 23:28:

I hate Man Utd a hell of a lot, but how anyone can say Rooney is overrated is beyond me, ive never seen such a level headed kid for his age when it comes to footballing matters.

Maybe you hate him because of his arrogance but judge him on goalscoring ability, and look at what he has done on the football pitch and what he has achieved already at 18.

If you wanna take the piss outta any Man Utd(scum) players then leave that for Phil Neville, Darren Fletcher & that judas purple lipped little ******, Smith.

Posted by fastmp3 on Mar-16-2005 00:27:

Michael just 0wned you all ahahahahaha

raveed what's this story of the chosen one on TOTA ? does it involve jayx1 ?

Posted by Bortsa on Mar-16-2005 00:33:

It is obvious YOU have not seen ronaldo play, ok he may not have a pin point cross everytime, but i would like to remind you he is just 20, i hesitate to think beckham was perfect at 20. You are also comparing him to the best crosser the world has ever seen. I also stated over the next 10 years he and Rooney would be feared and would be the worlds best players amongst others. I would also like to remind you they came 1 & 2 in the UEFA youngster of the year award, pretty well done for 2 supposedly shit players.

Regarding Italian teams, it is my preference to watch attacking teams play, ok so Italy may have 3 teams in the quarters of the champs league but who cares? not me. I support West Ham! All i was saying is that they are terribly boring to watch (my opinion) and when Cruyff said chelsea's style was ruining football, i think he should have also mentioned Juve and Milan as they defend for 90 mins and play couter attack crap. Give me Barca, Real, Arsenal any day, or for that matter West Ham, because watching defending is like watching paint dry. Anyway this is my opinion, you can have yours.

i have seen nearly all united matches that have been televised, which is a far amount. I dont expect him to get pin point crossed everytime. He delivers a good cross ratio is about 2-3/10. which is a joke for a manchester united winger. If united want to compete in the league and europe, they need a player who can hit 8/10 for RVN. No one will fear ronaldo unless he corssing dramatically improves.

When beckham was 20, his crossing ratio was porbaly 5/10. Ronaldo will not jump from 2/10 to 8/10. A player doesnt improve that much.

His end product is also terrible, he usually makes a poor desicion.

Did you see the Milan vs united matches? Surely if you did you would of noticed they were the more attack minded team in both legs? United didnt get a shoot on target as far as i know. Milan were far superior in attack AND defense in both legs. So you cant label them "boring".

Posted by Bortsa on Mar-16-2005 02:01:

Yeah i did watch the 1st leg which was actually televised live to Australia which was great, although after 5 mins i fell asleep as i could not watch such a terribly boring game. To be honest, i did watch the whole game and while i was happy crespo scored i didnt find the game all that entertaining. Admittedly, united were played off the park, but the match was lacking flair that the Chelsea vs Barca game showed.

Regarding Ronaldo, i think he hits more than 2-3 good crosses out of 10, but if that is bad Giggs is worse. Not many can match beckham, and ronaldo and beckham are two totally different players, ronaldo is direct and can play people in, beckham has outrageous passing/crossing skills. While i agree that Ronaldo needs to improve his crossing and decision making, there is no doubting he will get better and be one of the main threats for united for years to come.

Posted by tall paul 2 on Mar-16-2005 13:02:

Beckham and Ronaldo are completely different players i think. Whilst Beckham may deliver a good cross, he cant take people on, whereas Ronaldo is one of the best in the prem for doing this. Once hes developed his crossing he will be a great player, but hes still got a lot to learn.
