well to be hoenst i think we fall into a mistake flaming poeple. as you gain nothing by doing this but angry replys from the other person. i think what coup was trying to say.. and correct me if im wrong, was that he didnt want the votes to be influenced, but fast ( that cockbag who loves the barca ) didnt think anyting was gonna come of it f he did it. aparently someone did but i think he overreacted. and i think he realizes this.... kindda dissapiointed at everyone yelling at coup for such a silly thing.

nchs09 hit the nail on the head, the whole thing was ruined when taha started his advertising, so it was no longer me vs. taha in what the original topic was, but me vs. taha in who can nag as many people as possible for their vote, which i dont want to be a part of.

and i wish people would understand that i did not pull myself out "because i was going to lose" - yes, maybe i was going to lose because i did not put in half as much effort in "self promotion" to gather votes, but before all that happened i was leading taha by 10+ votes, so on the actual topic, i was well in front - i "lost" on not self promoting myself to the same level.

this is exactly the point, it's a shame that altho most see this, somebody doesn't & keeps beating off about it. Coup is one of the best mods anyway who doesn't have take some shit off people, so he did deserve to go through, but i think the fact that he's pulled out shows that he doesn't care about popularity, just doing a good job as a mod. The fact he didn't edit it to help himself win also shows his integrity. Sure Swamper would win the final, but it was only for fun, no need for election like whoring, esp in more than 1 subforum from taha, and while he knows I like him as a person, I think he's ruined what was just some fun by getting too serious, if epidermus or whatever he's called wants to flame us for this, then fine, it only goes to show that he's missing the mark more than a blind archer

You're right, I don't know you personally, nor do so many others here, and so I judge you based on the actions and words that you've displayed so far. What I've seen up to this point during this entire debacle is a lack of humour, uptightness, a sour grapes attitude, and a continuous need to justify why you did what you did, in the tired and rehashed form of "not willing to participate in an exercise of self-promotion". Obviously, the poll was originally made as a complete joke and was never meant to be taken seriously by anyone (except apparently yourself). Thus, fast, in his usual playful and facetious way, took the liberty of having just a little more fun with this supposedly fun poll, and decided to elicit "help" in order to win this thing. I don't see any harm in this whatsoever, since it was CLEAR to anyone participating in this thing that it was all for shits and giggles. Why you didn't join us in shitting and giggling is completely beyond me, since you supposedely have such "a great sense of humour".

I would appreciate it if you layed off the pathetic play on words with my name (epidermus), seeing as you're clearly not fit to manipulate the english language for the purpose of eliciting humour in your posts. Furthermore, I find it laughable that Coup now needs Ian to defend him, the same person who opened him a thread for pormotional purposes in the UK forum.

i have not summonded ian to defend for me, i am capable of defending myself. Ian made the vote for coup thread while i was at work, and he only did it after taha started what he did, and he did it to keep my from losing a poll which i was winning, and losing it thro shifting the goalposts away from the original issue.

i dont understand why u are having a go at me for telling u to fuck off when u originally called me a wanker? yes you said it in jest, or atleast not in a serious hatred way, but so did i. if you actually spent anytime around the uk forum, or the uk channel you would notice that we often tell each other to fuck off about issues, so maybe you dont know as much about how the uk humor system works as u think u do.

ours views are far too different to carry on this argument. just because i used the term abuse does not mean i took it personally. i get "abused" all the time at work, by people making jokes of me, but then everyone else at work can also say they get abused by people making jokes at them - it doesnt mean that everyone hates that person and is actually abusing them in a harmful way.

Our definitions of what terms mean from English are obviously very different, along with our style of humor. Carrying on this debate isnt going to benefit either of us, and im sure we both have things our time could be better spent on. I - although its not been that evident in this thread share a lighthearted and fun outtake on life, in which i could find plenty of examples on but im not that fussed to spend the time to find them, as i am sure you could find the same.

i think we should just both end this disscussion now.
