Word from the BPM camp is that Armin was disqualified.

Wonder what happened?

Posted by DJSTER on Mar-19-2005 20:16:

Maybe he decided he doesnt need to be ranked in a shitty list.

Posted by trance-ecj on Mar-19-2005 20:18:

When I say house I mean everything under its cat. ( i.e prog. house )

When I say trance I mean everything under its cat. ( i.e. epic, tech)

lets see

1.Tiesto ( Trance)
2.Paul Van Dyk ( Trance )
3.Paul Oakenfold ( HOUSE )
4.Sasha ( HOUSE )
5.Deep Dish (HOUSE )
6.Bad Boy Bill ( HOUSE )
7.John Digweed ( HOUSE )
8.Ferry Corsten ( Trance)
9.Christopher Lawerence ( Trance )
10. Mark Farina ( HOUSE )
11.Sander Kleinenberg ( HOUSE )
12. Dieselboy ( HOUSE )
13. Felix Da HouseCat ( HOUSE )
14.Ertic Morillo ( HOUSE )
15.Satoshi Tomiie ( HOUSE )
16.Louie Vega ( HOUSE )
17.Dj Dan
18.Danny Tenaglia ( HOUSE )
19. Ben Watt ( HOUSE )
20. Tall Paul ( Trance )
21.Lee Burridge
22.Armand Van Helden ( HOUSE )
23.James Lavelle ( HOUSE )
24. Harnan Cattaneo ( HOUSE )
25. Timo Maas ( HOUSE )

Unless I have DJ's miss labeled than it seem that HOUSE not trance is more popular in the US.

Word on the street is that Armin Van Buuren , or more likely someone affiliated with him ( i.e. PR Dept.), was caught entering fake votes. BPM did not have enough time to sort out the fake entries from the legitimate ones so they disqualified him from the vote.

That's fucked up !!

What a fuckin loser !!

That makes sense, I heard Armin got caught cheating a few years ago in BPM, but all they did was eliminate the fake votes. Guess they'd had enough of him pulling that shite?

I guess if the hype isn't there people will finally start listening to the music rather than the hype and find the music empty and shittty.

When your career and your record label depend on hype doing bullshit like this shouldn't be a suprise.

I'm glad BPM finally said enough of this bullshit.

Armin was caught two years ago, @ BPM , entering fake votes too.

I refuse to belive this Dieselboy is better then these!!!!!!!!!

haha LOLISH list imo!!

//take care

Posted by Zombie0915 on Mar-20-2005 00:26:

I don't think its that hard to believe, Dieselboy is a friggin god to the kids over here, maybe you should blame the south, and philly too i guess.

The obnoxious roaring bass POTD sound is huge in america, it really isnt that suprising to see that American mag voters prefer an obnoxious sound.

I think its kinda funny every time one of these lists show up, every kid with different preferences is all "OMG the population is so stupid for not arranging the list like I would have" get over yourselves ffs.

That's fucked up !!

if that is true, then armin and armada are total tools - all he cares about are stupid polls. what a loser. he's lost my support.

I just think Americans just value house Dj's more than trance.

nice to see the sarcasm flew over your head,

and if Americans value house more than trance please explain the top 3 for me

Only 40% of the top ten are TRANCE DJ's.

Only 20% of the top 25 are TRANCE DJ's.

Only 12% of the top 60 are TRANCE DJ's.

Only 10% of the top 100 are Trance DJ's.

Only 8% of the top 150 are Trance DJ's.

America, as seen in the results of this poll, confirm that it is the land of House Music. Sorry trance crackers.

Well I don't know first hand but I hear his track selection is impressive... and as for the DC gig it may just be one of his laptop symphonies. Anyway he made the top 100 on that DJ mag poll yet he isn't even in the top 150...strange...
