I'm trying to go back in June (last summer was just too crazy). From the 10th until the 28th or so, the Uk/Spain. As for Sensation White, DO EEEEEEEEEEEEET NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

I dont have much of a travellers gene in me... if i went anywhere, itd prolly be australia... granted itd be fun to prolly go to europe, i dont really worry about that... and since ive never been i dont know whut im missing... ignorance is bliss.

but IF i did go anywhere, i think id have ot go w/ friends... i dont think id like travelling solo... i need my friends!

A friend of mine i just saw down in St. Catharines is going over to Ibiza this summer, in july i think... since noone either has the $$$ or the desire to go with, shes going solo... it'll be her 2nd tiem.. she loves it... it dont matter to her if she goes alone w/ wiht friends! i totally adire her for that! Man, shes gonna see some sick DJs when shes there for the first 1/2 of august i bet! DamN!

All this talk of traveling and going over to europe and whutever TOTALLY reminds me of the movie L'AUBERGE ESPAGNOLE! Whut a fuckn FANTASTIC movie... whoever here hasnt seen it, i TOTALLY recommend it! so interesting... u get to see many different cultures expressed in teh movie and how pretty much a whole bunch of students from 5 or 6 different countries interact and live while in spain!

Just brilliant! Go check it peps!

I'd thought I'd bump this thread, seeing as it did so well last time.

I work/studied in the travel industry and the main reason was that I wanna see the world as much as I can before it's too late. There are a ton of plays I wanna go while I'm still young and no responsibilities - wife/kids... Sure there are plays I can take them but Ibiza, Australia parts of Europe are places I wanna go and fully "experience" my journey and maybe even leave alittle bit of me there too . As for travelling alone, I think I wouldn't mind doing that to certain places since I know for myself that I'm a very personable person and i know i can make friends wherever I go. Of course it would be better to share the experience with your closest friends back home but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do

I've traveled to Germany alone, and it was a blast, but it probably would have been a little better to go with a friend.
On that note, Calgary is sucking so far. Weird work hours, people are friendly, but we'll see how shit goes. Hopefully I'll be able to go see Armin here next week, and yep, it'll probably be alone, since my 40-50 year old co-workers are....not quite a stimulating bunch to say the least.

+1 to traveling alone, good times, met some good ppl
and +1 to flying pig amsterdam downtown.

I'd like to travel alone.....that way I could be sure to do all the things I want to do, and also I would make lots of new friends wherever I am.....the only problem is that being a woman, I have to be really cautious when I'm in a foreign place alone. So I might not mind having a guy with me for protection purposes

Travel alone..its the best thing... or if you travel with a friend, make the agreement that if you cant come to a mutual decision on which way to head next, then you seperate and do your own thing for awhile and meet up again later on.

As I posted in the beginning of this thread, I went to Amsterdam alone. Quite the experience. I can't wait to go back!!! Best part is, I'm making friends with some of the NLTAs out there by visiting the Dutch Forum.

I've been to the country of my ethnic background, Colombia, been to Spain and Puerto Rico. Okay, maybe PR isn't a country, but it's still really nice! That was back in '88 though.

Last year I went to Amsterdam with a friend. This year I will be going alone as well. Everyone asks if I am worried or scared.. but quite frankly I am excited as hell

I think it will be a great experience for me for sure. Although last year when I was there, thanks to amb_ he hooked me up with a really cool guy Jasper who I have become friends with now myself, so him and I will be doing some chillin in Amsterdam together as well as DV.

But this year it is all about meetingn new people and friends over there for me and enjoying myself to the fullest for 2 whole weeks..

Can't wait!

Used to travel alone all the time to get back to Saudi Arabia from boarding school in TO...really great experience in getting organized and managing schedules. Just stayed at the airport though, so it was no biggie...

...then one time on a trip back to family in S.A. I took a detour through Paris and Milan...THAT was frickin awesome!!! Flew to Paris from TO, flew to Milan to meet a friend, then took a train across northern Italy to Venice to meet more friends...that was an amazing experience!!!!

I also got a chance to move to Paris for a year, where I also got a job...that was an absolutely awesome experience but I wasn't really alone because I had Jenny by my side!
