Point taken, however one may argue that folks like Delay and Randall Terry believe that their "moral" principles that drive their "culture of life" philosophy does not adhere to any one country. Indeed, it doesn't even appear it adheres to our country - as we clearly see Delay calling out a so-called Judgement Day on these "activist judges" (which most happen to be appointed by Republican presidents, btw.

Well it certainly goes without question that living wills have skyrocketed since this case, which if anything good should be taken out of this I think you could point to this tidbit. However here in Kansas this Schiavo case has actually spurned action from our far-Right state Republican Congress to make it more difficult to remove a tube, even if it is the patient and/or families' wishes that were written down in a legal living will:
