Anyway all said just wasn't for me, if you liked it more power to ya..I wish I heard what you did.

i love PVD also, and even the last time i saw him he wasn't that good...the last time he came to space in November, that day i thought he sucked. But to me i think he redeemed himself friday night.

oh well to each their own opinion

Nobody would have happened to get video of PVD throwing down Nightoperator, did they?

its silly just how brillant he was

bro i haven't danced like that since the last tiesto WMC.

WOW!!! is all i can say. The godfaher of Trance lived up to his name.
what an incredible night. we owned the boxes in the back of the club. we all had plenty of room to dance jump & get crazy. best set i've heard PVD spin. we got there around 1045-11pm. we waited i think not even 10 min to get in. wWendy & i walked around by the front to look for peeps but didn't see any. we then found dougie fresh & crew & claimed our spots. from there on dougie has the pics to show the blast we had. Many memories def came out of this vacation is all i can say. all good ones.

Dougie:

its on nevt WMC same sopt same time !!!!!!

Hello!

Hi People... Who Still Don't Get It. I refuse to talk to you about Ferry's set, whether you left early or thought PVWho's political propaganda was the "Bomb"... not wasting my time, I'll talk to people who "get, IT." Edgar V... why??!! Too Good, as always, the 305 King!
James, you don't count. Sander owns Space, I closed it down with him. Raul, here is System F's ending tracklist, from what I remember: Sweet Sorrow (Ferry Fix?) in2 Needlejuice in2 Out Of The Blue (2004 remix?) in2 Tenshi in2 last song Ligaya in2 unknown encore... then Space got the microphone out said everyone go upstairs, then Ferry said "it's very dark in here, and it's light outside, let's go upstairs... Well hold on! Do you guys want me to play one more, or do you wanna go uppstt...?!?! Okay, one more." Turns the mixer and sound controllers back on, and hits play, but you can't really hear it. Then he says, "Bear with me, this is my first time..." Hilarious... music plays for ten seconds, then Corsten cracks up and goes, "Oops!! Next track, sorry!" (ID Unknown final encore)Finally he came upstairs with us, and closed it down with Sander K on the terrace... AND FOR THE LOVE OF SANDER@@K!!! What is that placebo track he played right after Ferry's set, and he closed with @ the Magik LMR party thursday? Please ID, I must know? And then he spun.."I Got My Finger On The Button... Don't Press The Button!!! K Is Krazy. For the record, Johan Gielan spins "hard" trance peoples... listen=learn.

Bump to this! I thoroughly enjoyed Edgar's set, as did everyone who came to the show with me.

And I would die for the tracklists. The PVD set especially was one of the best sets I've heard (this is NOT to start a debate -- I just really like the type of music he spun that night ) Bummer about the few skips in the middle of the sets though.

Btw, a friend of mine said he heard that the show was being broadcast live on the radio, similar to global DJ broadcast or whatever they used to do in Miami until 93.1 got shut down recently. Any idea if this was actually played/recorded or put up for download anywhere?

Where was Johan Gielen spinning? He's another brilliant Dutch trance DJ. Up there with Ferry. And yes he does indeed spin HARD TRANCE. He really jacks up the BPM when he spins live. Love it!!

Posted by maxdady25 on Mar-30-2005 01:10:

OMG!! After reading this review, I'm even more disappointed that I couldn't make it to see my favorite DJ in the world perform a 6 hour set. I'm so jealous of all of you FLTAs who got to experience Ferry. He's definitely hands down the best DJ I have ever seen. Too bad PVD got bad reviews. I thought he was pretty damn good at last year's Ultra. Oh well, guess he had an off night. I've seen Tiesto on an off night as well. However, I don't think I've ever seen Pulp Victim have an off night. Go figure.

Shouldn't start a debate, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. As per PVD reviews, not EVERY review was bad, I have heard him a bunch of times before, and to me, this was the best set he has spun. Ferry and PVD play different types of trance, and you claim your favorite depending on which type you like.

pvd bad reviews? everyone has their own opinion. but i thought that was the best set i've ever heard from him. i'm hoping his set at crobar in a couple weeks will be nearly as good as the one at space.

KarateKid

Mainfloor was powered down @ 1118 on Saturday morning (almost noon), March 26th 2005... So for the record, basically a 375 minute epic trance EGGS pear EEE ance. System F definitely wins the Gold Medal this year... WTF?! Joe Han spun @ Onda Lounge, and with their "massive" 3 speaker system, he definitely banged it out harder than YkW (You know Who)... that was hard trance, YkW's set, even with his busloads of fans being brought in, = trash doo-doo. Hard trance does not equal trash doo-doo, is that simple enough to understand? I dunno, I'll chill on that... once again he was a great warm-up act for the headliner, like on thanksgiving... Perfect for Ferry. Adis, putas!

Sounds insane. If I woulda gone I prolly wouldn't have made it to ULTRA. I'll never know. Glad you had fun, Doc.

Hell yeah, dude. OMG. He had the crowd going bonkers at Trance Energy. And he played my song, which I honestly didn't see coming. Can't wait for him to come back to Space, I ain't gonna miss out again!

I wasn't going to write a review but what would be pretty lame of me I guess so here is my $.02. Edgar was rippin shit up when we got there.....as a matter of fact I wish he would have just played untill 5 when Ferry came. PVD was totally off this night....no flow at all, just one non stop bass line that bored the shit out of me. Im not the biggest PVD whore out there but I deff give the man respect but I have never heard a PVD set where I was finding myself crossing my arms asking myself why am I standing here??? Well thats how I felt so I left and went up to the Terrace where Stef Vrolijk was tearin shit up. I was dancing my ass off when all the sudden the main man Sander was escorted up onto the Terrace by security. You could tell by the look on Sanders face that he was going to bring it. I went back down to the main room to check out Ferrys set for awhile. He was really playing some uplifting stuff....alot better than PVD. Ferry is perfect for afterhours, he always keeps you dancing your ass off. I really liked his set untill he dropped Punk and then I almost puked....Time to head back to the Terrace. Sander was killing it and thats where I stayed untill I left @ 10am. Sander just seems to get better and better. He is king of the Terrace if you ask me. All in all it was a sick night. Im just happy I got to party with my friends and have a good time. Although it really does suck my friend Joey never made it in.

WTF. Joey's a big PVD whore like me, why couldn't he make it in, he got there late?

PvD played bad? this is hard to believe?

any track ID's?

Sneaker Pimp

I thought someone was missing... that sucks. Ummm, Paul isn't as good as he used to be, much better set in November, what's hard to believe? I love trance, so it was okay, and I was impressed that he was dancing and going co-ray-zee behind the decks ( as crazy as Paul gets, I guess, which isn't that much). Hilarious thing was I think he peeped in on one of my PvW flame posts... I think we called him out on the laptop thing (hitting the automix button, surfing the web...) because he had his Mac hidden behind the booth this time... Too bad for the big ass mirror Mr. Paul Van Laptop: Busted!!!
