Say, which is better? PS2 or GC/Xbox (Graphics wize, game market wize..)?

hard to say...each system has their own large 'group' of 'fans' so to speak. they're all good systems, each one with their own set of good games. it's gonna quite a struggle for #1. *sits back and grabs his popcorn*

I could live without both Xbox(www.fuckmicrosoft.com) and gamecube (nintendo's 4 babies...)!

Tha best would be a Pentium 4 with 2 GHZ with 512 megs of RAM, a GeForce3, a surround system and a phatt alpha version of Unreal II ... and a two megabyte internet connection to play it online

Hah! I dun even got enuff money for decent headphones...

hehe. 512mb of ram? that's it? lolz. you have such a powerful system in mind and yet....only 512 of ram.

My current gaming machine ('till i buy a PS2/GC/Xbox) is a Pentium 4, 1.7 GHZ, 256 MB RAM (soon upgrading to 512), a Nvidia Riva TNT-3 (upgrading that to GeForce 3), and a surround system (that sucks... soon upgrading that one too.. but first i'm getting a 'real gaming machine'), and also a 17" pure flat monitor.. it's pretty fun playing 'max payne' on that...

lol my machine kind of sucks but is decent. i have a 1.0 ghz athlon, 256 mb ram, and a radeon 7500.

Oooh nooo...

I can only dream of these monster-machines! I got a f*ckin' PII with 400 mhz and 128 megs of RAM ... graphics: Riva TNT1!!! Not even Unreal Tournament runs properly...
But I ain't got tha money to buy sumthing bettah...

BTW: 512 megs of DDRAM are incredible powerful ... cuz they 're much faster than SDRAM ... so I mean 512 megs of DDRAM and that's far enuff 2 play a decent Unreal II ...

Hmmm ... maybe the xbox would be the cheaper alternative than a new pc ... but I dun want it ... I want a new comp ...

Perhaps it's just a sticking point with me. But I'm incredibly tired of people saying Nintendo's for 'children'. Sure, the 64 didn't have the crazy blood and guts that some of the (lesser quality) games that PSX.. but so what? What do you base that statement on, really? N64 had some cartoony goodgames.. but PSX had slew of semi-real looking, bad. After a while, they all start blending together after a while. Nintendo is clearly not going to market their console to children, because they know who their competitors are..
Clearly, I'm a diehard for Nintendo, so I'm going to defend them no matter what.. but I can see both sides. I know that the other consoles are good, but the PS2 and xbox are all about the 'bells and whistles', you know? I don't care if my game console can play DVDs or rip MP3s. I just want something that will play my games, I have a PC for the other shit. I think the gamecube is going to linger behind the other two (xbox, anyhow) until their new game lineup starts appearing. Then the disbelievers are going to see what their missing..buah. Of course, that's just my rambling two hundreths of a dollar.

Guys.. all you need is:
128 megs RAM
p3 500 mghz
19" monitor
Good mouse
Quake 2
A big ass joint.

Screw everything else.

funny page though (fuckmicrosoft.com)
