As if everything you said was only something right on point that I didn't like, and I don't mean just you specifically, but there's a lot of remarks like from auranaut above, or shall I say insults that you clearly condone since you don't like ASOT or Armin.

If you listen to trance too much then it will definitely start sounding samey and boring. So listen to something else and come back with fresh ears.
Finding original sounds is as much up to the listener as it is the producer

one thing that bothers me is that the majority of the new trance people (who got on the trance wave with djs such as Armin, Tiesto etc) barely heard any trance from the the first years. They actually believe trance is what their favourite DJs plays out and anything else that sounds different from that (IE doesnt have a supersaw etc) is not trance.
I find that very funny since none of the older trance songs had any supersaw and still sounds better than any of the songs the top djs plays today.

So my friends try to wider your trance horizon and listen to some nice stuff from Eye Q Records, Superstition, MFS and old Platipus.
Why not tunes like: Odysee of Noises - Firedance from 1994 or Union Jack - Two Full Moons And A Trout (Caspar Pound remix)
