did you guys ever go thru a serious whistle phase down here? i mean like where 40-50% of the ravers had them and insisted on using them? terrible terrible terrible. esp because there was always at least two wankers in every crowd who, during every breakdown,

a) couldn't remotely guess where the beat was or where the kick would come back in

but

b) insisted on belting out their own idea of where it might be with a serious of random-tempo-sort-of-evenly-spaced whistle blasts, as loudly and wrongly as possible.

it was like when you're having a dream, but then your alarm goes off, but for a few seconds, before you wake up, your alarm's BEEP BEEP BEEP becomes part of your dream? yeah, just like that, but that you never wake up. *shudders*

i still have flashbacks when see police using them to stop traffic now and then...
