Actually the on campus club was closed due to preperation for a big end of the year bash or something.

So I went to the campus pub which was spinning house and trance surprisingly Unfortunately, not many in the pub scene were digging the tunes so it was dead. 1 beer later, we bounced.

Who knew people actually study during exam time?

Born in Beirut, raised muslim in Canada. My dad's lebanese but my moms polish. When I was old enough my parents taught me other religions and no longer forced islam on me. I went back about 5 times in my life, mostly when I was a younger child. Last time was when I was 16.

So yeah, I am LEBANESE. I have a Lebanese passport and everything. It's better being Lebanese than Syrian

I've read up on the war in Lebanon back in like grade 9. I know of the different factions, the PLO, sabra and shatila, the Israeli invasion, etc.

I'm not clueless when it comes to Lebanon.

Ayoye. Karim, he was talking about Haifa, Nancy and Elissa, the female Arab singers. Arabic pop culture. As for Lebanese politics, pick up Robert Fisk's Pity the Nation. You'll learn much more than in grade 9.

Thomas Friedman is an Orientalist and an apologist. A disgraceful character if I've ever seen one. Trust me, get your hands on Robert Fisk's "Pity the Nation", and Farid El-Khazen's "The Breakdown of the State in Lebanon 1967-1976". Both rather voluminous books, but both well worth the read. And please for the love of God, don't ever read anything else from Friedman.
